August 29, 1919Gilbert Haskell Brackett, 60, who was a dry good merchant in this city from 1880 to 1890, died in Marblehead Monday. He was born in Brighton, the son of the late Gilbert Haskell Brackett and Alice Boardman (Giles) Brackett of Brighton.
He attended school in Melrose and Boston. After leaving this city, he was proprietor of a dry good store on Boylston street, Boston, which he ran until his health gave out. He was proprietor and manager of the Rockmere Inn at Marblehead at the time of his death.
Besides his wife, Mattie, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Alice Brackett of Philadelphia, a daughter, Mrs. E.E. Hanscom, two sons Raymond Osgood Brackett and Gilbert Paul Brackett of Marblehead, and a brother, Walter A. Brackett of Newark, N.J.
