Funeral services for Eugene L. Haskell, 65, formerly a printer in this city (Portland Press Herald) will be held at 1 p. m at 749 Congress St., Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. He d. Tues. in his home at Dorchester, Mass., after a long illness. He was b. at Deer Isle Oct 15, 1868 and came to Portland when he was 9 years old. With a small job printing outfit in his home and in a small shop he set up, he became proficient in the printing trade and later was employed in the Southworth and Lakeside printing establishments. About 40 yrs. ago he went to Boston and for many years was employed in the composing rooms of the Boston Globe. He is survived by his widow, a sister, Miss Stella Haskell of this city; and three brothers, Herman A. and Clarence M., of this city, and Ernest R. of Livermore Falls.
