25607. Daniel Lincoln Taylor

St. Charles, Minn., Daniel Lakin Taylor, resident here since 1856,  died Friday at 5 p.m. at the Taylor homestead in Clyde township about six miles from here. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Taylor was born Feb. 20, 1852, in New York state, the son of Jonathan and Betsy Taylor, and with his parents, came to Minnesota in 1856 where they settled on the home farm where Mr. Taylor died Friday. In 1877, Mr. Taylor married Tillie Donaldson who died in 1878. On Oct. 2, 1886, he married Miss Irene Best of Chatfield, She died Oct. 23, 1926.

They had eight children, six of whom survive. They are Mrs. Myrtle Griffith, St. Charles; Archie, Denver, Colo.; Lloyd J. and Charles F. operating the home farm; Verne L., Duluth, and Mrs. Jessie L. Waby, St. Charles. Elmer died while at Fort Sam Houston in 1918, during the World war, and Ethel died when six years old.

Other survivors are one brother, Judson of Holton Kan., and two sisters, Mrs. F. W. Davis, Joplin. Mo., and Mrs. Morrill Davis in California. The latter, the eldest of the family, is 96 years old, Ten grandchildren also survive.

Four generations have resided on the Taylor homestead where funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be conducted.
