August 8, 1947Mrs. Albert W. Bell, former resident of Sebeka and later of Menahga, passed away at Wesley hospital, Wadena, on July 24, 1947 of cirrhosis of the liver, after having been in failing health for some time.
Athelenda Emily Bell was born at Concord, New York on May 28, 1881 and was married to Albert Bell October 12, 1929 and lived in this county for a number of years. She is survived by her husband; three sons, namely: Jack Haskell of Havre, Montana; R.B. Haines of Ronan, Montana and Robert Haines of Sebeka. Three children preceded her in death. Deceased is also survived by two brothers, J.G. Head of Heartland, Maine and Guy Monk of Harrison, Maine; also by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
MARSHALL EVENING CHRONICLE
February 3, 1944Gilbert K. Lathrop of 515 Hughes Street, passed away at his home this morning at 3:15 o'clock, following an illness of several years, seriously ill the past month.
He was born September 30, 1863 in Marshall, the eldest son of Henry and Elizabeth Lathrop, and was married to Nellie Jane Webber on September 7, 1887 in Marshall.
He was a member of St. Albans Lodge No. 20, F & A B. Besides his widow, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Jules S. May, Mrs. Bates Arnold, Mrs. Leon Place and Miss Laura Lathrop, all of Marshall; one brother, Robert H. Lathrop, also of Marshall; five grandchildren.
