Louis Lawrence Barnum

Lawrence Barnum, formerly the head of Lawrence Barnum & Co., bankers of 126 Broadway, New York city, and more recently executive of the firm of C. B. Halsey a Co., brokers, died early Tuesday morning as the result of injuries sustained February 27, when he and Mrs. Barnum were struck by an automobile while walking on Albany avenue.

Graduated from Yale University, 1889, Sheffield Scientific School, Mr. Barnum retired from active business four years ago and recently moved to Kingston to make his home.

He was 70 years of age and was a son of the late Rev. and Mrs. F. S. Barnum, residents of Kingston for many years and prominent in the church life of the city.

Mr. Barnum is survived by his wife who was formerly Mrs. Alice C. Gallagher, and who is slowly recovering from being injured at the same time Mr. Barnum was struck by the automobile; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Heuchel of New York city; a grandson, J. Malcolm Clark of Hollywood, Cal., and a nephew, L. Fenton Barnum of New York City.
