1 January 1907 -- E. Randall Gray, son of Irving C. and Alice W. (Haskell) Gray, was legally adopted by Jasper W. and Martha F. Haskell in probate court by Edward E. Chase, Judge of Probate, and given the name of Randall Everett Haskell.
Jasper Webster Haskell was a sea captain. He was master of the schooners Hugh Kelly and Harry Prescott.

Volume 13, No. 3, September 2004On February 19, 1925 the sad news came to Deer Isle, Maine, that Mrs. Althea Maud Haskell, wife of Frank A. Haskell, had died. Mrs. Haskell had been ill for a week in hospital with pneumonia. A member of the 2nd Congregational Church of Deer Isle, the Eastern Star, and the Grange, she left a faithful husband, two daughters, three grandchildren, and a brother who lived in Portland. The community was deeply grieved. Her age was 57 years, 3 months and 29 days.

December 25, 1916Mrs. Minnie T. Powers, wife of Hezekiah H., d. at her home on the No. D.I. road Wed. night, aged 47 yrs. Mrs. Powers had been in failing health for a long time and last Aug. underwent a surgical operation but received no permanent relief. She bore her sufferings with great patience and fortitude and was cheerful to the end. She was tenderly cared for by her sister, Mrs. Alice Marshall, who closed her own home and went there for the purpose. Besides her husband Mrs. Powers leaves four sons, Frank, Carlton P., Fred S. and Albert.
Hezekiah H. Powers at age 36 was a yachtsman.
At age 66 he is listed as a general farmer.
Edwin T. Marshall was a master mariner. He is listed as a captain in the 1920 Federal Census of Deer Isle.
