Frank Sewell Haskell was a "shoe cutter".
22538. William Woodwell Haskell
Patent 425225 - William W. Haskell - Letter box
Per Lee Hall, Walter was a self-studied attorney (he passed the bar without attending law school). He was responsible for a number of patents and drew one character (a bear) for one of his tire companies. This is still used today although the tire company/logo was purchased (subsumed?) by another tire company.
Walter was married to Carrie Kelsey and had four children with her. He subsequently married Ruth King who was the widow of Paul Haskell, Walter's nephew (both of their spouses died in 1918). Ruth had two small children (Isabel and Leland) when Walter married her. Walter and Ruth subsequently had a child together, Gwen. The family always was jokingly trying to determine the percentage of relationship between Gwen and her siblings, Isabel and Leland.
Gwen mentioned meeting two of Walter's sons from his first marriage. She said they lived in California (note: the 1920 census said that Isabel and Leland were born in California - is this how Walter and Ruth met?). It was implied that the relationship between Gwen's family and Walter's first family was "distant." But given the different residence locations and the age difference, that was understandable.
