April 21, 1997HASKELL -- Harriet, 91, born March 25, 1906 died April 16, 1997. Attended the Bishop School, Mills College, Bryn Mawr and earned a PhD at the University of Wisconsin. During WWII, she worked for the Red Cross and enjoyed a long teaching career in the English Dept. at San Diego State University. In retirement she completed a book of philosophic writing based on the works of John Keats.
She is survived by a sister Jean Haskell and admiring nieces and nephews.

Jean Haskell, 96, of La Jolla died Sunday. She was born in Omaha, Neb., and was a San Diego County social worker.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Barbara Haskell of San Diego; two nieces; and one nephew.

He was the beloved husband of the late Nellie Ruth Loring and father of Charles A. Loring and Laura M. Loring of Seattle, Washington. A Maine native, he is also survived by his sister, Mrs. A. W. Gilman and his brother, Charles H. Loring, both of Maine.
At his death, he was aged 67 years, 9 months and 21 days. He was an active member of the Athens Camp No. 457, W. O. W., Oakland Lodge No. 1070, T. F. B., and Oakland Lodge No. 324, L. O. O. M.
