He also served in Captain George Smiths' company, Colonel Vose's regiment; return of men who were in services on or before August 16, 1777, and who had not been absent subsequently except on furlough; also same company, and regiment, muster roll for December, 1777, sworn to in Camp near Valley Forge, enlisted Feb. 8, 1777, for 3 years.

Thomas, of Saccarappa [now Westbrook], Cumberland County, Maine, served as a private in Colonel Vose's regiment; listed in Continental Army pay accounts for service from 1 January until 1 February 1780.
