Sophia's first marriage was to Ezra Baker Sr., Seaman and Mariner, on October 1, 1837 in Yarmouth. Ezra and Sophia had 5 children.

Ezra, 35, died at sea on Saturday, October 4, 1851 near Prince Edward Island, Canada with his oldest son Russell, 12 who was on the same voyage with him.

Sophia married Francis Haskell "Frank", a Fisherman from Deer Isle, Maine on August 24, 1857 in Yarmouth. Frank's last name was not spelled correctly when filing for the marriage. (Yarmouth Town Clerk's Office). They had no children.

Sophia divorced Frank in 1866 a year before she died of Tuberculosis, and she retained her fist husband Ezra's surname. When she died she was Sophia Baker.

Sophia died of Tuberculosis on December 16, 1867 at age 56.

George Haskell, who was so severely burned when the tent in which he was living caught fire passed away at the Pocasset hospital Saturday morning, He was 70 years of age and had lived here all of his life.

He leaves two brothers William and Frank and two sisters Mrs. Lucretia Staples of East Wareham and Mrs. Mary Rice of Chelsea.

Daniel Eaton Haskell was a mariner.  He was accidentally shot during hunting and died two days later on 22 February 1847.

Davis was called Davis II only when his uncle Davis was alive. He was a stately man of good physique and had long clean white whiskers. He was the son of Francis Haskell 2nd "Captain Frank" and Phebe Carman of Deer Isle, ME.

Davis first went to sea as a master mariner at the age of 9 years on the brig GENTLEMAN.

In 1846 Davis learned the caulker's trade filling up cracks in ships. He was a jack of all trades and could do almost any kind of mechanical job.

His house was the second house on the Eastern side of North Deer Isle Road on Scott's Landing Road.

In 1850 when Davis was 23 he was living with his mother Phebe Carman Haskell. HIs father drowned in Boston Harbor in 1839 and his mother never remarried.
