Sophia's first marriage was to Ezra Baker Sr., Seaman and Mariner, on October 1, 1837 in Yarmouth. Ezra and Sophia had 5 children.
Ezra, 35, died at sea on Saturday, October 4, 1851 near Prince Edward Island, Canada with his oldest son Russell, 12 who was on the same voyage with him.
Sophia married Francis Haskell "Frank", a Fisherman from Deer Isle, Maine on August 24, 1857 in Yarmouth. Frank's last name was not spelled correctly when filing for the marriage. (Yarmouth Town Clerk's Office). They had no children.
Sophia divorced Frank in 1866 a year before she died of Tuberculosis, and she retained her fist husband Ezra's surname. When she died she was Sophia Baker.
Sophia died of Tuberculosis on December 16, 1867 at age 56.

He leaves two brothers William and Frank and two sisters Mrs. Lucretia Staples of East Wareham and Mrs. Mary Rice of Chelsea.
Daniel Eaton Haskell was a mariner. He was accidentally shot during hunting and died two days later on 22 February 1847.
