A marriage of Volney Judson Haskell to Sarah E. Cleghardt is firmly regarded by descendants as erroneous. The marriage to Sarah Cleghardt was reported in "Genealogy of Roger Haskell of Salem, Massachusetts, to November 1925" by George L. Randall and also by Ira J. Haskell in his "Chronicles of the Haskell Family".

RANDOLPH B. HASKELL, 99, a lifelong resident of Park Ridge, died yesterday. Before retiring in 1952, he was a ribbon cutter for the Mittag & Bolger Typewriter Ribbon and Carbon Paper Company, Park Ridge, for 44 years. He was a member of the Pascack Bible Church in Hillsdale and the Pascack Historical Society, Park Ridge.

Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Hughes of Park Ridge, and a granddaughter. His wife, Stella Kent Haskell, died in 1959.
