Arthur Duell Haskell was born in Atchison, Kansas, January 27, 1880, and died at Selma, California, May 25, 1925, age 45 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was the son of Rosell D. Haskell and Sadie E. Phelps and when just a babe, moved to Nortonville, Jefferson County, Kansas. He spent his boyhood days in this community graduating from High School in 1900. In December, 1902, he was married to Ella Dearborn and to this union were born three children, Lephia, Duell, and Estella who with the widow survive.

In July, 1908, he moved with his family to Selma, California, where he had since made his home. In boyhood he united with the Christian Church, to which he remained a faithful member.

Besides his immediate family he leaves to mourn, two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Eva Martin of Paterson, New Jersey; Mrs. Fay Myers, Beatrice, Nebr.; Claude, at Tarkio, Mo.; Bert and Ray at Nortonville.

Funeral for Franklin D. Haskell, an accountant for the past 18 years with Albina Engine and Machine Co., will be Monday ..., Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.

Mr. Haskell died Thursday in the Veterans Hospital, Vancouver, Wash. He resided at 3416 NE 49th Ave.

Born in Newtonville, Kan., March 12, , he lived in Portland 18 years. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of Musician Post 185, American Legion, and the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include the widow, Marie F.; and two brothers, Bert Haskell, Portland and Ralph Haskell of California.

MAY ALMEDA MULLEN: Conneaut; 75, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter: Mrs. Howard West - W.Springfield. She had been ill for the past year --had been with her daughter since June. She was born 27 Aug 1877 in Simons[sic should be Pleasantville, Venango, Pennsylvania], a daughter of Joseph & Almeda Irons. She had been a resident of the vicinity for the past 35 years & was a member of Andover Congregational Church.

She is survived by her husband, Clark Lee Mullen; 8 children: Mrs. Fred Schultze - Edinboro. PA; Mrs. John Spenzer - Sharon, PA; Mrs. Howard West - W. Springfield; Mrs. James Forbes - Albion; Delbert - Conneaut; Hallie - E. Lakeville; Cecil - W. Springfield; Lee - Galesburg, IL; 3 sisters: Mrs. George Twitchell - Ashtabula; Mrs. Arthur Loomis & Mrs. Will Difford - both Kinsman; 13 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. Two sons: Charles & George preceded her in death.

Service will be Friday afternoon at Lester Evans Funeral Home - W. Springfield. Rev. PH Augustine-Federated Church will officiate. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery.

Survivors include 9 children: Mrs. Howard West - W. Springfield; Mrs. James Forbes - Albion; Mrs. Fred Schultz - Cleveland; Mrs. John Spenger - Brookfield; Delbert - Conneaut; Hallie & Cecil - W. Springfield; Lee - Galesburg, IL; 14 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Two sisters: Mrs. Ada McClanigan & Mrs. Lloyd French - both Ashtabula & 2 brothers: Grover - Andover; Bert - NewCastle; also survive.

Service will be Saturday afternoon at Lester Evans Funeral Home-ESpringfield with Rev. PH Augustine - E. Springfield Federated Church officiating. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery.

She was a graduate of W. Springfield High School.

She is survived by husband HOWARD BROWN; daughter: Mrs. Francis Chiro - WSpringfield; 5 grand-children; her mother Mrs. Francis Neubauer - Erie; 2 brothers: George Neubauer - Woodhall NY & Leroy Neubauer - W.Springfield.

Service Monday [10-12] at HolyTrinity LutheranChurch. Rev. Molitoris will officiate. Interment will be made in E. Lakeville Cemetery - near Conneaut OH. Arrangements by Lester Evans Funeral Home.

Pavilion, Dec. 4.--George W. Lawrence died yesterday at his home two miles north of this village, following a stroke apoplexy which he suffered on Sunday evening.

Mr. Lawrence was born at New Albion, Cattaraugus county, 73 years ago. When eight years of age he moved with his parents, Samuel and Lorinda Allen Lawrence, to Rome.

On his mother's side he was a descendant of Ethan Allen of Revolutionary War times.

On December 20, 1869, Mr. Lawrence married Miss Susanna Kelly of Rome and in 1880 they moved to Pavilion.Mr. Lawrence was a student of astronomy and the languages for many years. He was wellknown for his weather prognostications, which were very correct. He taught school for 25 years in and near Rome after moving to Pavilion. Shortly before his death he became converted to the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Pavilion Grange and was a highly esteemed citizen.

Surviving Mr Lawrence are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Norton, and two grandchildren, Gladys and Frank Norton, all of Pavilion
The burial will be in the Pavilion Catholic cemetery.
