July 19, 1912Rev. Ira LeBaron was born in Vermont about eighty years ago, and died at this home in Evanston July 9, 1912.
He began preaching when a young man and has been an earnest and devoted Christian during his long life. He was intensely interested in all the benevolences of the church extension to which causes he contributed to the extent of his ability.
He came west more than thirty years ago, and on Jan. 8, 1884 married Miss Clara M. Baker.
At the time of his death he was a superannuated member of West Wisconsin Conference and had served the following charges: Bloomington, Argyle, Belmont, Fayette, Bloom City, Monticello, Prairie du Chien, Viola and Spring Green.
Rev. La Baron is survived by his widow and three children, Paul, Keith, Mrs. Virgil R. (Mabel) Stephens and Mrs. W.A. (Bess) Rutledge of Chicago and Evanston. There are also three older children by a former marriage, Fred H. of New Hampshire, Mrs. Emma White of Boston, Rev. Ira W. Pastor of Grace M.E. Church, Taunton, Mass.
