December 30, 1891North Edmeston. Dec. 28 Eben Talbot, whom we mentioned as being very will last week, died Saturday morning, aged 58 years, 8 months and 28 days. His wife died just three weeks ago. All that time Mr. Talbot appeared to be in as good health as usual, but soon after began to decline. About one week ago he took to his bed and now 'death has ended all.'

December 1891Died at her residence in North Edmeston, Dec. 4th, Mary Jane Maxson, beloved wife of Eben Talbot, and mother of Mrs. Winnie St. John, of Chicago, and Mrs. Ralph Huestis, of Brainard's Corner, age 57 years. Mrs. Talbot had been ailing for a number of years and for the last three months has been confined to the house. She was a kind friend, a good neighbor, and her heart was full of charity which we are taught is the best of all graces. To husband and daughter, the loss of this loving wife and mother is a crushing blow and the sympathy of all is with them.

October 13, 1914Almon Nathan Watkins, 74, committed suicide at the Watkins farm in the north part of town and his body was found suspended by a rope from a beam in the barn yesterday morning. His brother, Wallace E Watkins, and a hired man made the discovery when they went to the barn to do the chores. Dr C F Maxwell was sent for and his examination showed that he had been dead for some time. He was last seen Sunday afternoon about 4 o'clock and the family did not mistrust anything wrong as it was not unusual for him to go away without saying where he was going.
He had lived with his brother, Wallace, at the farm and part of the time with his daughters. From poor health and rheumatism he was unable to do much work and felt himself a burden to his friends. He was born in Peru November 29 1840.
