13903. John Henry Haskell

John Henry Haskell, born 31 May 1837, Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA, son of Thomas Coombs and Miriam Pitman Haskell. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant into Company C, 8th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment, also known as the Sutton Light Infantry, on 12 July 1860, mustered 30 April 1861. He married 1st on 14 November 1860 Hannah Rebecca Curtis, who died suddenly a few months later. He married secondly Martha Maria Curtis, sister of the above, who died 18 February 1864. He married thirdly on 8 June 1871 widow Sarah Ellen Freeto Knight. By each wife he had one daughter: Martha B. Haskell, born 15 December 1860, Lizzie Preston Haskell Symonds, born 8 November 1863, and Nellie Freeto Haskell Pramberg, born 24 March 1872. John resided Marblehead, where he died 7 June 1905, and his widow died there 27 July 1911.
