John B. Horton of Eastport became a naturalized U.S. citizen on August 11, 1852 in Portland, Maine. He had been born in Yarmouth, N.S. on April 3, 1802 and entered the U.S. in 1834 through Eastport. His witnesses were Joseph H. Claridge of Eastport and John A. Balkam.
