May 3, 1905Berkeley, May 3 - Arrangements for the funeral of Dudley H. Haskell, who died last night at his residence, 1643 Prince Street, were made today by his family. The body of Mr. Haskell will be removed to Sacramento where the funeral will be held next Saturday, from the sixth street Methodist church at 1 o'clock.
Mr. Haskell was for many years one of the leading men in the land department of the Southern Pacific Railway. He formerly lived in Sacramento where he was a prominent member of Washington No. 20, Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Methodist church there, and the family burial ground is in Sacramento. For these reasons his children have decided to have the funeral and inter the body in Sacramento.
Mr. Haskell was a native of Maine, 79 years old. He was a member of the Society of California Pioneers.
His surviving children are Mrs. John Charles Adams, of Oakland, Mrs. Franklin P. Poore, of Berkeley, and Mrs. Philip Verrill Mighels of New York.
Mr. Haskell had been ill for five months and his death was not unexpected.SCT
