Captain Frank was a Master Mariner, Schooner Captain and Mate who lived in Deer Isle, Maine. His parents were Tristram Haskell of Deer Isle and Martha Merchant of Isle Au Haut, Knox, Maine.

Captain Frank drowned on Boston off India Wharf and is buried in Boston but he has a headstone in Mt. Adams Cemetery in Deer Isle.
