8615. George Washington Haskell
The following note from World Family Tree Vol. 85. tree 746:
George Washington Haskell was only a young man of 37 years at the time of his death. It is said that he died of some mysterious chronic disease and a post mortem failed to reveal the true nature of his trouble, which seemed to be enteric. He built, lived, and died in the house on the Dow Town Road.

John Pressey Johnson was listed as a trader in the 1860 Deer Isle census. He is listed as a farmer at age 73 in the 1870 Deer Isle Census.
Frederick S. Pressey was a sailor.
At age 22 John Haskell was a sailor (1850 Census of Deer Isle). He is listed as a master mariner in the 1860 Census of Deer Isle.
Epitaph of Peter Powers, Brooklin Cemetery, Hancock county, Maine: "Rest sleeping dust in silence, rest in the cold grave that Jesus blest in faith and hope we lay thee there, safe in our heavenly fathers care."
