The following note is from Liz Hamilton.
John Paul Haskell founded a prominent steamer trunk manufacturing company in Illinois after 1850.

Other sources report that the trunk company was founded by two of John Paul Haskell's sons, Joseph Elnathan Haskell and John William Claghorn Haskell.
