Uriel Rae, aged 28 years - this excellent women who was eminently distinguished for her mental powers, engaging manners, and signal virtues fell a premature victim to that unconquerable malady, pulmonary consumption, so fatal to the fair sex - as a wife she was dignified and affectionate, as a Mother, tender and indulgent, as a child, dutiful, as a Sister lovely.- During her illness which was long and severe, Patience, Fortitude, and Resignation to the will of her Creator buoyed her above the fear of Death; and a well-grounded Hope of a blessed immortality enabled her to bid a final adieu to all worldly attachments and take an affectionate farewell of her dearest friends and conxsions with that serenity of mind characteristic of Christian Piety.
Andrew Haskell died of consumption at the age of 44..
