On 5 October 1778, Edward Sherman of Middleborough was appointed to administer the estate of Benjamin Haskell, late of Middleboro, yeoman, deceased. The inventory was taken 8 October 1778.
The will of Elnathan Sherman of Middleborough dated 17 December 1772 names Simeon, Edward and Seth; daughter Sarah wife of Benjamin Haskell and daughter Althea. A codicil dated 3 October 1778, states daughter Sarah, wife of Benjamin Haskell, is deceased and her husband Benjamin Haskell is also deceased, and names Noah and Abiah Haskell, their "only surviving children."
On 1 December 1796, Simeon Sherman, Edward Sherman, Alathea Sherman, Noah and Abiah Haskell, all of Middleborough, desired division of the real estate of their brother, Seth Sherman, late of Middleborough.

Josiah was a corporal in Lieutenant Nathaniel Morton's (Freetown) company, Colonel Edward Pope's regiment; marched December 8, 1776, discharged December 13, 1776; service 6 days; company marched to Rhode Island on the alarm of Dec. 8, 1776.
Josiah was in Captain Joseph Norton's (Freetown) company, Colonel John Hathaway's regiment; enlisted August 4, 1780, discharged August 7, 1780; service 4 days; company marched to Rhode Island on an alarm.
He then entered service in Captain Andrew Woodberry's company, Lt. Colonel Enoch Hallet's regiment, for service at Rhode Island and was discharged October 29, 1780.

On 7 March 1792, Josiah Haskell of Freetown, a yeoman, sold 10 acres in Freetown to Nathaniel Braley.On 5 June 1752, Ammi Chase sold half of lot 14, 2nd Division, formerly in Tiverton, but now in Freetown, to Ambrose Brayley of Freetown, yeoman, and Josiah Haskall of Freetown, laborer. [Ambrose Brayley was Josiah's uncle.] On 11 November 1757 William Ashley sold land in Freetown to Josiah Haskell of Freetown, yeoman.
The identities of the other children are found in the several deeds which the children used to divide their father's estate.
On 30 January 1804, Josiah Haskell of Freetown sold land in Freetown to his daughter Margaret Braley of Freetown with the condition she maintain his daughter Bethiah ½ of the time. On the same date, he sold to his daughter Mary DeMoranville of Freetown land in Freetown with the same condition about Bethiah.
On 11 Feb. 1805, Josiah Haskell of Freetown, a yeoman, sold land in Freetown to Job Pierce.

Roger, of Freetown, served as a private in Captain J. Franklin's company of Colonel N. Taylor's regiment; enlisted 23 September 1779, and discharged 31 December 1779, 3 months and 7 days service; company stationed at Rhode Island; also same company and regiment in the Muster Roll for December 1779, sworn to at Rehoboth, Massachusetts allowing 18 days service at Rhode Island.
He also served with Captain H. Brightman's company of Colonel Dean's regiment; enlisted 8 March 1781 and discharged 14 March 1781, 6 days service; company detached from Freetown, Berkley, and Dighton, Massachusetts to serve for 40 days unless sooner discharged.

Zuriel Haskell served as a private with Captain Pratt's Company on 30 March 1758. Believed to be the same man who served at Lake George in 1755, and again with Colonel Richardson's Regiment in the Invasion of Canada on 12 April 1759.

On 20 May 1772, Zurel Haskell of Freetown, yeoman, and wife Thankful sold 20 acres in Pocasset Purchase to Gershom Howland of Freetown. On 11 Jan. 1773, Zural Haskell of Freetown, yeoman, sold land formerly in Tiverton and now in Freetown to William White of Dartmouth.On 19 Oct. 1778, Zuriel Haskell purchased one lot of 50 acres in Grafton NH; on 1 June 1786 he sold 2 lots of 100 acres in Grafton NH; on 22 April 1799 he sold land in Bristol Co. to Samuel Clap, minor, the share of the estate of Abiel Clap set off to the widow Susa Clap; said sale to take effect on the death of Zuriel.
The estate of Zuriel Haskell was administered by Shadrack Winslow of Foxboro and inventory taken 1 April 1801.

Marriage Notes for Zuriel Haskell and Thankful Westcoat
MARRIAGE: Their intention to marry was published in Freetown according to the Freetown Vital Records, but their marriage may have occurred elsewhere.
At the April 1734 court Mercy Pain was charged with fornication. At the Oct. 1734 court Mercy Farrow, age about 22, charged Nathan Simmons, son of Abraham Simmons, with being the child's father.
