Marblehead - Mrs. Lydia F. (Kendrick) Sanborn, 74, of 35 Powder House Court, for many years active in the Women's Auxiliary of the Spanish War Veteran's Post and Veterans of Foreign War Post 2005, died Monday at Mary Alley Hospital.
Nesides her husband, Vernon, commander of the Spanish War Veteran's Post, she leaves two sons, Roy of Marblehead, and Clarence of Chula Vista, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Barbara Williams, Mrs. Caroline Ayott, Mrs. Charlotte Woods, Mrs. Frances Hutchison, all of Marblehead, and Mrs, Irene Gimble, Beverly; and one brother. William Kendrick, Lynn.

September 5, 2005Clarence Langley "Sandy" Sanborn of Eugene died Sept. 3 of age-related causes. He was 91.
Sanborn was born Jan. 18, 1914, in Swampscott, Mass., to Vernon and Lydia Kendrick Sanborn. He married Mabel Dixey in Marblehead, Mass., on Aug. 28, 1936. She died March 17, 2003.
He graduated from Marblehead High School and attended San Diego State University. He worked in construction and as a building inspector for the federal government. He operated Sandy's Safari, a summer camp for boys, and was a longtime volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. He lived in Iceland for five years, as well as Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and the California cities of Chula Vista, Port Hueneme and San Clemente. His interests included boating, fishing and dancing.
Survivors include a daughter, Jayne Carey of Eugene; a son, Wayne of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Frances Kosensenski of Salem, Mass., and Irene Gamble of Beverly, Mass.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

March 8, 2010]GREENFIELD -- Leona C. (Dufresne) Dane, 95, of 88 Fairview St., died Saturday (3-6-10) at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility. She was born in Ashfield on July 9, 1914, the daughter of Arthur and Rose (Ferron) Dufresne.
She attended local schools in Hawley and had been a resident of Greenfield for many years. Leona was employed at the former Kendall Mills in Colrain. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, scrapbooks and flower gardens.
Leona was pre-deceased by her husband, George H. Dane, in 1989. Also, she was predeceased by a brother, Edward Dufresne and her sisters Merilda VanCor and Rita Devine.
Survivors include two sons, two brothers, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Marjorie "Dee-Dee" M. (Eveleth) Goss, 81, of Swampscott, died Thursday in a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Richard Goss.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Myrtle (Iverson) Eveleth.
Mrs. Goss was a cook with the the Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Lynn, for 18 years, retiring many years ago. SShe enjoyed bowling and playing bridge, and was a member of the former Church of the Redeemer, United Methodist, Swampscott.
She leaves a daughter, Carol Barnes of Swampscott; a sister Helen Doucette of Danvers; a brother, Fred Eveleth of Kingston, N.H.; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Rideout, 43, an employee of the Noyes Buick Company, who was killed in a plane crash early yesterday, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the George E. Nichols Funeral Home. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Marion Rideout, and two children, Robert E. and Martha Lindsay Rideout.

April 17, 1973MARBLEHEAD - Robert Noyes Rideout, 48, of 199 Washington St., died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon in Salem Hospital. He was the husband of Janice (Hiltz) Rideout.
The son of the late Robert B.N. and Marion (Praberg) [sic] Rideout, he was a lifelong resident of this town. Mr. Rideout was a Marblehead firefighter for over 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Rideout was a member of the Old North Congregational Church and Philanthropic Lodge, AF and AM, both of Marblehead and the Firefighters Square Club of Massachusetts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert O. Rideout, serving with the Coast Guard at Otis Air Force Base, Cape Cod; 3 daughters, Miss Barbara E., Karen F. and Katherine H. Rideout, all of Marblehead; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth C. (Martha) Hamilton of Marblehead.

Rideout, died early Friday morning, January 2, 2015, at Devereux House Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitaion in Marblehead. Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. and Elsie (Boardman) Hiltz. Mrs. Rideout was a graduate of Marblehead High School, Class of 1942. She was a lifelong resident of Marblehead.
Following her marriage to Robert, she was a stay-at-home Mom. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She volunteered at the Town House in Marblehead for the G.A.R. and was also a tour guide at the Lee Mansion. Mrs. Rideout was active at First Church Swampscott, Congregational. She also loved music and dancing.
Surviving her are her four children, Robert O. Rideout and his wife, Stephanie, of Yarmouthport, Mass., Barbara Rideout of Marblehead, Karen Rogers and her partner, John Blaney of Marblehead, Katherine Zuccala and her husband, Joseph, of Watertown; her two grandchildren, Scott Rideout of Yarmouthport and Sophia Zuccala of Watertown; her significant other, Herbert Heggie of Marblehead; and several nieces and nephews.

July 21, 2005John H. Pramberg Jr. of Newburyport, a veteran and retired bank president and chairman, died Monday at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was 75. Born in Newburyport, he had lived there most of his life. He graduated from Newburyport High School in 1947, attended Lynn Burdett College and graduated from Bentley College.
During the Korean War, Mr. Pramberg served in the Air Force. After he returned to Newburyport, he worked briefly at the First and Ocean National Bank. In 1955, he began a 40-year career at the Institution for Savings, where he was president and chairman of the board of trustees. He retired in 1995.
During his banking career, Mr. Pramberg served as chairman of the board of directors of Financial Institutions Marketing Association, Massachusetts Bankers' Association and Mutual Savings Institutions Central Fund. He also served on the board of directors of Norfolk and Dedham Insurance Co. and was president of West Newbury Insurance Co.
He was involved in the Newburyport Civic League, Swasey Fund for Teachers, Moseley Fund for Social Service, Griffin Home for Aged Men, Newburyport Area Industrial Development Corp., Newburyport Rotary Club, Protestant Guild for the Blind, Wheelwright Scientific School, Merrimack Humane Society, Historical Society of Old Newbury and the Sons and Daughters of the First Settlers of Newbury.
He was president of the Mary Alice Arakelian Charitable Foundation and also served as treasurer of the International Haskell Family Association for 10 years.
Mr. Pramberg was a collector of metal toys, toy banks and paintings by Newburyport artist Francis Thurlo. He enjoyed spending summers with his family at County Pond in New Hampshire.
He is survived by his wife, Noreen (Cook); two sons, John W. of Newburyport and Jay P. of Newton, N.H.; four grandchildren; a niece; and many cousins.
