Former Rockford resident. Employed 20 years as administrative assistant for Rockford chamber of Commerce. Member and former deaconess of Second Congegational Church, Rockfords.
Survivors include daughters, Frances S. Anderson and Susan S. Anderson, both of York, and catherinr S. Guyot of Damphierre, France; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one Brother, Christion D. Meislahn of Sun City, Ariz.

December 22, 2005MINNEAPOLIS -- Frona C. Stout, 105, Minneapolis, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005.
Mrs. Stout was born Frona C. Cline on Oct. 22, 1900, in Minneapolis. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Tim Stout, in 1988; and a daughter, Mary Louise Austin, in 1985.
Survivors include a son, Cline of Minneapolis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

December 11, 2004Mary Stagg Tobey, 88, formerly of Dennis, died Nov. 8 at Starr Farm Nursing Center, Burlington.
She was born in Leonia, N.J., graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1934 and attended Skidmore College. She married Wendell Banks Tobey in 1939 and lived in Wyckoff, N.J., and Ridgewood, N.J., for 30 years.
After her divorce in 1973, she lived in Dennis for 34 years. She was an active member of Dennis Pines Golf Club, Mashantum Tennis Club and Dennis Garden Club. She was an avid golf, tennis and bridge player, a skilled knitter and a bookkeeper. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and making people laugh.
Survivors include four children: Thomas Stagg Tobey of Los Altos, Calif., Mary Ellen Manock of Ferrisburg, Vt., William Banks Tobey of Amherst, Mass., and Ann Christie Tobey of Sunnyvale, Calif.; six granddaughters; a niece; and two nephews.
She was also the mother of Susan Clark Tobey, who died in 1998.

October 13, 2005Alice Virginia Pray of Eugene died Oct. 4 of age-related causes. She was 87. The funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 8.
Pray was born April 15, 1918, in San Francisco, to James and Marguerite Whitney. She married George Pray on Feb. 27, 1942. He died in 2000.
As a child and teenager, she danced onstage with her three sisters as "The Whitney Sisters," and they later ran a dance studio.
She taught dancing from the 1950s through the 1970s.
She lived on San Francisco Peninsula until 1987, when she and her husband retired and moved to Santa Rosa, Calif.
She had lived in Eugene since 2000. She enjoyed travel, dancing, needlework and music. Her family said she loved her family most of all.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Pray of Eugene; a son, Ronald of Gilroy, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

July 14, 2007VETT, Frances M. - Passed away in Santa Rosa on July 12, 2007 at the age of 85. Dearly beloved wife of Charles Vett and adored aunt. Frances was one of four children born to Percie and Mamie Pray, all of whom preceded her in death. A native of San Francisco, Frances had been a resident of Sonoma County for the last 20 years.

June 27, 2010Charles G. Vett 12-24-25 to 6-15-10 Charles "Bud" Vett passed away in Kentfield on June 15, 2010. Mr. Vett was born in San Francisco to Carl and Mary Vett on Christmas Eve, 1925.
He attended Balboa High School and then joined the Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific theater, landing the Marines on Iwo Jima. After an honorable discharge in 1946, he went to work as a machinist at Ray Oil Burner in San Francisco.
On September 21, 1947 he married Frances Pray and they settled on Russian Hill in San Francisco. Mr. Vett advanced to shop foreman and retired in 1988, moving with Frances to retire in Santa Rosa. Frances passed away in July, 2007. Bud enjoyed working in his garden and being a fan of the Giants and 49ers of San Francisco.
Mr. Vett is survived by his sister, two nephews, two nieces, as well as many great and great-great nephews and nieces.

Helen Martha Pitcher, 88, of Carlsbad died Jan. 25. She was born in Newark, Ohio, and was a teacher for 25 years. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin; daughter, Lauri Baldino of Carlsbad; son, Benjamin of Tucson; brother, Lt. Col. John C. McClure of Atlanta; and six grandchildren.

Born Oct. 27, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Carlsbad for seven years. He was a retired industrial engineer.
Mr. Pitcher is survived by his daughter, Lauri Baldino of Carlsbad; son Benjamin Pitcher of Tucson, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

February 23, 2004Lt. Col. John C. McClure, Ret., 86, of North Port, FL, died early Friday, February 20, 2004.
Mr. McClure was born in Newark, OH on November 7, 1917 and was retired from the Untied States Air Force. Following his retirement from active duty, he resided in Albuquerque, NM and Atlanta, GA before moving to North Port, FL in 2003. Mr. McClure was an active member and a past president of the 56th Fighter Group Association.
Mr. McClure was the son of the late John R. McClure, M.D. and the late Mildred Pray McClure.
He was the widower of Charlotte Swain McClure, PhD, having been married for 55 years.
Mr. McClure is survived by his son, John T. McClure and his wife Barbara of Atlanta, GA; his son, James A. McClure of North Port, FL; and his daughter, Barbara McClure Schroeder and her husband Mark of Centennial, CO; and his grandson, Kenneth John (K.J) Schroeder, also of Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Helen McClure Pitcher of Carlsbad, CA, and formerly of Tucson, AZ and Dayton, OH.

January 19, 1999After retiring as a college professor, Dr. Charlotte S. McClure of Atlanta turned a fascination with World War II aviation into two books she co-wrote with her husband, John C. McClure. Her husband, a retired Air Force officer, said she did a top-notch job on books about flying ace David C. Schilling and Lt. Gen. Gerald W. Johnson, head of the 8th Air Force.
Dr. McClure, 77, died Friday of cancer at Mariner Health of Northeast Atlanta Nursing Home.
A native of Newark, Ohio, Dr. McClure graduated from Denison University. After her husband retired, she earned a master's degree and doctorate in English and was a professor of English and modern languages at Georgia Sate University, retiring in 1992. She later taught at Senior University of Greater Atlanta and with North Atlanta Senior Services.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, John T. McClure of Snellville and James A. McClure of Atlanta; a daughter, Barbara M. Schroeder of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters Clara Lou Armstrong of Rockville, Md., and Evelyn S. McVicker of New Concord, Ohio; a grandson; four step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

February 15, 2004DR. CHARLES RODNEY BOUTWELL, 83, came into the presence of Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord, Feb. 11, 2004.
Formerly of Huntington, W.Va., Dr. Boutwell was residing at 5031 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, Tenn., at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gladys Campbell Boutwell and his four children and their spouses, Rodney and Sylvia Boutwell of Taylorsville, N.C., Philip and Sue Boutwell of Abingdon, Va., Sandy and Lori Bynes of Nashville, Tenn., and Paul Boutwell of Frankfort, Ky. Dr. Boutwell is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Herman Moore of Knoxville, Tenn. Dr. Boutwell was well-loved by his four grandchildren, Donna Ratliff, John Boutwell, Laura Boutwell and Carrie Bonner. He had seven great-grandchildren, four nieces and six nephews.
Dr. Boutwell was a retired Baptist minister and clinical psychologist, graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary, Marshall University and the University of Tennessee. He enjoyed telling others of his love for his family and his love for Jesus Christ. His favorite verse was Psalms 16:11.

Born Sept. 9, 1922, to the late Glen Clovis and Fronie Elizebeth Ward Campbell, in Marietta, Oklahoma, she was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
She had followed her late husband's careers and had been a part of several Southern Baptist Congregations over the years.
Her husband, of 62 years, Dr. Charles Rodney Boutwell preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son Paul Boutwell, as well as four siblings.
One of her favorite Bible verses was Psalm 17:15, "As for me, I will see your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I awake in your likeness."
Mrs. Boutwell is survived by her daughter, Lori Bynes and husband, Sandy of Nashville, TN; two sons, Phillip Boutwell and wife Sue, of Winston Salem, NC and Rodney Boutwell and wife Sylvia of Taylorsville, NC. There are four grandchildren; Donna Ratliff, of Amherst, VA; John Boutwell, of Matthews, NC; Laura Boutwell, of Boston, Mass. and Carrie Bonner, of Winston-Salem, NC. She also had ten great-grandchildren.

May 9, 2002ALICE BOUTWELL RHEA, 80, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2002, at her residence.
She had been a resident of Woodlands Retirement Community for many years, and had also lived in Paragould, Arkansas, Chillicothe, Ohio, and Pensacola, Florida.
She was born December 20, 1921, in Clawson, Michigan, a daughter of J.H. and Beatrice Morse Boutwell. She was a graduate of Shreve High School, Shreve, Ohio, and earned an RN degree from Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, West Virginia. She went on to earn a degree as nurse anesthetist from Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
In 1964, she married Kermit Rhea, who died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. W.S. Boutwell and Dr. Joseph H. Boutwell Jr.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Herman Moore, formerly of Huntington, now residing in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charles and Gladys Boutwell of Huntington several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Tom Moore and his wife, Lynn of Huntington and other dear family members.
Alice enjoyed the Arts, Genealogical research and her church. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 22, and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Huntington. She was loved and will be missed by many.
