Mr. Haskell was born on March 17, 1937 in Beverly, MA the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Keane) Haskell. He was a U S Navy veteran. Mr. Haskell was a self employed truck driver. Prior to his illness he enjoyed talking on his CB Radio.
He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Shropshire who died in July of 1993.

He was born in Boston, MA on August 13, 1926 and was raised in Brookline, MA. He was a winter resident of Naples, FL for 10 years and he summered in Humarock, MA .Dave served during WWII in the US Marine Corp 1st division as a tank commander. He was the owner of the Norwood Nursery Garden center in Norwood, MA for 26 years. In his earlier years, Dave owned Burnham & Sons Oil Company in Brookline, MA. During his retirement he enjoyed gardening, the ocean, walking and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy Burnham; and sons, David R. (Laurie) Burnham 3rd of Milford, NH, and Richard T. (Martha) Burnham of Gloucester, MA; and Grandsons, Randy, Jack and Scott.
Dave was preceded in death by sisters; Louise Bardsley of Walpole, MA, and Janet Taylor of N. Hampton, NH.

December 28, 2023Gloucester - Barbara Ann (Haskell) Hemeon, 88, of Essex passed away peacefully at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester on Friday, December 22, 2023. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Jessie (Kehoe) Haskell. She grew up in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School in 1953.
After graduation, Barbara became a homemaker, and raised four sons. She later worked as a bank teller and house sitter in Manchester. She retired from Cape Ann Savings Bank in 1995.
Barbara was an avid reader. She also liked baking, knitting, puzzling, and collecting salt and pepper shakers. During her lifetime, she acquired over 300 shaker sets which she proudly displayed in her home. Barbara also enjoyed driving. A 12-day, cross-country road trip to Alaska with her mother in 1974 was a highlight.
Barbara is survived by her four sons, Ronald Hemeon (wife Margaret) of Essex, Richard Hemeon (husband Brent Moir) of Gloucester, Russell Hemeon of Essex, and Steven Hemeon (partner Annie Babson) of Ipswich; four grandchildren, Jennifer Hemeon and Liam Hemeon of Essex, Craig Cole of San Diego, California, and Alexis Hemeon of Cuero, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Donovan and MacKenzie Cole, and Trenten and Abygayle Whittemore. She also leaves her former daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hemeon of Ipswich and her dear friend, Faye Jordan of Prospect Harbor, Maine.
Barbara was predeceased by her sister, Myrna Haskell.

July 3, 2015GLOUCESTER: Nicholas J. Hemeon, 82, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at Golden Living Center in Gloucester on Thursday, July 2, 2015.
Born in Ipswich, he was the son of the late Joshua and Maude (neé Burnham) Hemeon. He grew up in Beverly, and attended school in Essex.
During the years of the Korean Conflict he served an enlistment in the U.S. Army Following his Honorable Discharge, Nick continued his lifelong passion of boatbuilding, a craft he began at the age of 12. He built his first lobster boat in 1953, and throughout the years he designed and built many half and full models. During his lifetime, Nick built over thirty lobster boats. Hemeon models are well-known along the New England Coast with many of his boats still in operation today.
In addition to his career in boatbuilding, Nick was a self-employed lobster fisherman. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flying small aircraft.
He is survived by his former wife, Barbara Hemeon of Essex; four sons, Ronald A. Hemeon and his wife, Margaret of Essex, Richard H. Hemeon of Gloucester, Russell W. Hemeon and his wife Cindy, Steven N. Hemeon and his companion, Anne Babson of Ipswich; four grandchildren, Alexis Hemeon of Austin, Texas, Liam Hemeon and Jennifer Hemeon, both of Essex, Command Senior Chief Craig Cole, U.S. Navy, SanDiego, Calif.; and four great-grandchildren, Donovan and MacKenzie Cole and Trenten and Abygayle Whittemore.

Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He treasured many friends, including Walter Laute of MO, an army buddy of 73 years. He is preceded in death by former wife Joyce of 34 years, his daughter Nelda Frish, and two favorite fur babies Molly and Tauri.
Robert proudly served in the US Army during WWII while stationed in Germany from 1946-48. He belonged to C Troop 42nd Constab Squadron 2 Regiment (1946-1947) and was a member of the Plymouth American Legion Post and the VFW #4483. Robert was employed at Ashland Paper Mill, Farley's, and Richelson's. As a strong supporter of local Main Street businesses, he shopped local and owned and operated Haskell's Toy Store and Haskell's Work Clothes Outlet.
Member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church and a trustee member, he had a strong faith and enjoyed worship and community service. He loved music and was known to pull out his harmonica to play his favorite patriotic and faith-based tunes for his grandchildren and other listeners.On his 75th birthday, he celebrated by singing with Bobby Vitton on stage. Last year on his 90th birthday, Robert was surrounded by family and friends who thanked him for his community service and valuable life lessons. It was a party for the books!
His accomplishments include; served in 1959-63 as a Major on Gov. Powell's Military Staff, served on the 1959 Hopkinton Dam Committee, received in 1981 Plymouth Rotary Citizen of the Year, 1986 was honored by the NH Senate for Outstanding Leadership, recipient of the 2016 Plymouth Area Community Closet Volunteer of the Year. "Bob Haskell Day", declared on October 5, 2013 by the town of Plymouth, recognizes his formation and directing of the Royal Eagles Drum and Drill Corp in 1963-1986. The Corp served over 1000 kids aged ten through nineteen. Bob was a part of many memorable parades throughout New England, including the 1966 Memorial Day Parade, the 300th Anniversary Parade in Beverly, MA, 1969 World Cup Ski Race Ceremonies in Waterville Valley, President Nixon's Inaugural Parade in 1973 in Washington D.C., and the 250th Anniversary of Plymouth parade in 2013. The Royal Eagles Drum and Drill Corp were very important to him and he was proud of each of his "kids" that went through the program.
He loved dogs and spoiled Molly and Tauri. He believed everyone should have a dog!

November 7, 2012Dorothy Anne (Reed) Haskell, age 77, of Lynn, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012. She was the wife of the late Richard Haskell.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Hazel (Morse) Reed. Dorothy was a graduate of Peabody High School.
She was a homemaker and resided in Lynn for most of her life. She enjoyed watching soap operas.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Phil Moody of Exeter, N. H., Patricia Newton of Lynn and Karen McGrath of Danvers; a brother, Richard Reed of Colorado; sisters, Patricia Haskell of Nevada and Karen Petrone of Florida; five grandchildren, Stephanie and Mallarie McGrath, Coreen Tapley, Bobby Newton and Shawn Moody; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Reed.

March 14, 2004MESQUITE -- Philip Bruce Haskell, age 71, died peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.
He was born July 25, 1932 in Lynn, Massachusets to Richard and Pearl Joslin Haskell. He was raised in Lynn and attended schools there. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and valiantly served his country during the Korean War.
Philip married Patricia Leona Reed on September 21, 1957 in New Hampshire. They lived in Massachusets for a few years before moving to Torrance, California.
He was a very hard worker. He was employed as a skilled welder at Garrett Air Research for more than 30 years. He and Pat retired to Mesquite, Nevada several years ago.

March 15, 2004Philip was very adventurous and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed being in the mountains, the desert and at the beach, just as long as his family was with him.
He liked several sports and had a great time coaching his grandson's teams in recent years. Family was No. 1 and his family always came first.
Philip will be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather and husband. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Haskell, of Mesquite, Nevada; five daughters, Cheryl Frisby of Dallas, Texas, Angela Haskell of Mesquite, Nevada, Joni Ramirez of Canoga Park, California, Lyn Austin and Joanie Dubberly, both of El Segundo, California; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

May 14, 2010BREWER - Eugene W. "Bud" Shand, 85, husband of Virginia (Wood) Shand, died May 12, 2010, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in 1924, in Lynn, Mass., son of Irving D. and Gladys M. (Haskell) Shand.
Bud, as he was known, grew up in Massachusetts and served during World War II with the U.S. Navy. He moved to Maine in 1951 and worked for Brewer Fire Department for several years. He owned and operated his own store and later worked for Irving Oil.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of Brewer are two children, Robert J. Shand and his wife, Carolyn, of Victoria, Mexico, and Donald E. Shand and his wife, Rhonda, of Islesboro; two grandchildren, Eric Shand and his wife, Amanda, and their daughter, Ava, of Biddeford, and Steven Shand and his wife, Trisha, of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, James Shand; three sisters, Nancy Daly, Phyllis McAskil and Alva Cotter; several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by devoted family and friends, Richard and Teresa Dore of Brewer, and Gary Brown, also of Brewer.

March 30, 2012Phyllis D. McAskill, 85, of Seabrook, formerly of Lynn, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
She was born in Lynn, MA January 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Irving D. and Gladys (Haskell) Shand.
Phyllis was a graduate of Lynn English High School with the class of 1945. She worked as a waitress at the Hilton Hotel at Logan Airport and for various catering companies in Massachusetts.
Mrs. McAskill was a 57-year resident of Lynn before moving to Seabrook in 1984. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gautreau VFW Post 791 in Lynn and had been active with the Rebecca's while living in Lynn. She enjoyed cards, bingo, bowling and dancing.
She was the wife of the late Peter J. McAskill, who predeceased her in 2009.
Family members include her twin sons, Peter J. McAskill, Jr. and his fiancée Jill of Sandown, N.H., and Stephen I. McAskill and his wife Karen of Amesbury; one daughter, Cynthia R. Terrazzano and her husband Al of Amesbury; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, David L. Boynton, Jr, of Lynn and Paul S. Boynton of Ware; and one grandson.
Her husband, David L. Boynton [sic], and twin sister, Ruth Haskell, predeceased her.

August 23, 2011SPRINGFIELD - Mr. David L. Boynton, age 85 died Saturday August 20 at the Bay State Medical Center, Springfield after a brief illness. Mr. Boynton was born on Bachelor St. Lynn on February 15, 1926 and over his lifetime he resided in many areas of East Lynn.
He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mabel (Haskell) Boynton whom he tirelessly cared for in the last two years of her life, who passed away on April 29, 2002. He joins his two brothers, Charles and Russell, both of Lynn.
Mr. Boynton met his wife Mabel, while they were employed at Cushman's Bakery, where he worked for 35 years.
When the bakery closed he went on to work at GE Riverworks for 10 years until his retirement in 1991. David was an avid Red Sox fan and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his two sons, David Jr. of Lynn and his partner Malina Chhan, Paul and his wife Patricia of Ware and g r a n d s o n Christopher and his wife Tasia, who are currently serving in the U. S. Army.
His kind heart, gentle manner, and sense of humor remained until the very end will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
