William H. Colden, 85, passed away March 28, 2009, in Norfolk, VA. He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Harry and Anna Colden, and retired from NAVELEX after 25 years of service. After retirement he prepared taxes with Quick Return in Portsmouth, VA for 10 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Boogades Colden, and is survived by his two daughters, Susan C. Smeland and husband Andy of Virginia Beach, VA and Ann C. Lanham and husband Rob of Culpeper, VA; two sons, William H. Colden, Jr. and wife Chris of Virginia Beach, VA and Damian A. Colden and wife Katie of Michigan; sister, Mary Creaghe of New Jersey; two brothers, Richard Colden and Frank Colden, both of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, William H. April 17, 2020Creaghe, Mary Anne, - peacefully at McAuley Hall Health Care Center in Watchung, NJ on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020 at the age of 94.
She was born September 8th,1925 in Ventnor, NJ, and lived in Philadelphia during her school years before returning to Ventnor. Mary and her husband Jim were lifelong residents of Margate, NJ, where he served as a police officer, retiring as Chief of Police after 42 years. Mary was employed by Theodore Presser Music Publishers in Philadelphia, the Dennis Hotel in Atlantic City and the Atlantic City Convention and Tourist Bureau. Mary and Jim were parishioners of Blessed Sacrament and she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Mary is predeceased by her husband of 58 years James J. Creaghe, Jr., and her brothers Henry, John, William and Frank Colden.
She is survived by her son James J Creaghe III and his wife Judy of Livingston, NJ; her granddaughters Megan Creaghe and her fiancée Brett Tedder of Raleigh NC and Erin Lutz and her husband Michael Lutz of Newtown Square, PA and three great-granddaughters: Riley, Nora, and Brielle Lutz. She is also survived by her brother Richard Colden, as well as many nieces and nephews.

March 20, 2017Francis X. Colden, Sr., 85, widower of Mary Agnes (Dunne), died Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
He was born in Sellersville to the late Henry and the late Anna (Montague) Colden.
Frank graduated from Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City, NJ, he joined the U.S. Marines where he proudly served in the Korean War. After his military service, Frank lived in the King of Prussia area and worked at Malvern Preparatory School in maintenance. Family was a very important part of his life. He enjoyed camping and travel to his home in the mountains.
Frank loved sports and his Philadelphia teams. He leaves behind seven loving children: Frank Colden, Jr., Paula Staneruck, Gerry Colden, Mary Niehls, Christine Clark, Dolores Sessler, and Patti Gill. His brother: Richard Colden, Sr. and sister Mary Creaghe; nineteen Grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren.
Preceding in death his daughter: Cina Shaw, Grandson: Francis X Colden III and his three brothers: Harry Colden, William Colden and John Colden.

April 17, 2015Ardyth A. Carpenter has been called home to her Lord on April 16, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Ardyth was born April 3, 1920 to Lawrence Rexon and Doris (Bussman) Clow in Madelia, Minnesota. She graduated from Truman High School and Mankato Commercial College graduating in 1939.
Ardyth married Jack K. Carpenter in 1940. While Jack served with the National Guards they lived in California and Texas. They eventually settled in Mankato and together they raised four wonderful daughters.
After 24 years as office manager, she retired from Prudential Insurance Co. in 1984
Ardyth helped organize the first chapter in Mankato of The American Business Women's Association. She served as their first President and was nominated Woman of the Year. Ardyth was committed to her community, she volunteered with Hilltop Neighbors and Vine for 12 years, and she was also a greeter at Walmart. Ardyth was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary, which she served in many capacities.
In 1982 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. For the next 21 years she faced 17 more malignant tumors. Ardyths strength, dignity and grace in the face of many challenges of this disease were an inspiration to all who knew her. Her strong faith in the Lord sustained her through all her challenges, which was passed on to her family. She was an active member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. She was also accepted into the Daughters of American Revolution proving Maylower descendants of Francis Eaton.
She was a master seamstress and sewed fashionable outfits for her daughters and herself, including many wedding dresses. Ardyth was an avid flower gardener, always making bouquets for all to enjoy. She kept busy teaching all her daughters her wonderful cooking, sewing and baking skills. She loved traveling, family and friends and always ready for a good card game.
Ardyth is loving survived by four daughters and their spouses, Sharyn (John) Herian of Littleton, CO, Lynda (Greg) Gemlo of Mankato; DeeAnn Carpenter of Wilmington, NC, and Brenda (Bob) Anderson of Mankato; one sister, Valeen Meyer of Truman, MN; six grandchildren, Michelle, Nicolle (Kelly) Martin, Ryan (Rachel) Gemlo, Mallory Gemlo, Erin (Geoff) Ring and Danielle Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Julia, Sean, Martin, Gabriel, and Evan Compart-Gemlo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ardyth was preceded in death by her husband, and one sister, Lorraine Weiderhoft Mohwinkle.

July 15, 2005Clara Jane (Carpenter) Holley died peacefully at Logan Nursing Facility on July 13, 2005 of complications due to a brain tumor.
She was born in Duluth, MN on August 13, 1914.
She graduated from high school and started college at 16. As a young adult, she was very adventurous and worked all over the country, including Alaska and Washington DC before finally settling in California. She moved to Provo, UT in 1972, where she took a job at BYU as LaVell Edwards secretary, retiring in 1980. Clara was loved by all those whose lives she touched.
Although we are very happy for her, she will be sorely missed by her husband, Earl H. Holley, her children, Betty Christenson, Melinda DeWit, Jeff Hanes, Maureen Waters, Leah Gifford, Cherryl Muhlstein, Cliff Holley and her 42 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by Bruce Holley.

June 30, 1988MARBLEHEAD - Helen B. McHugh, 85, of 9 Manataug Trail, former executive secretary for the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce, died Wednesday in Salem Hospital.
Mrs. McHugh was executive secretary of the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce from 1973-1977. She was executive secretary for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and assigned to the Republican Whip from 1952-1973.
Born in Beverly, she resided in Marblehead since 1930.
Mrs. McHugh was a graduate of Beverly High School and the Katharine Gibbs School of Boston.
She was a communicant of the Old North Congregational Church, and a member of the church's Y-Con Club. She was a member of the Patchers and Darners Club of Marblehead and active in America Cancer Society fund drives.
Wife of the late Edward T. McHugh, she is survived by two sons, Capt. John S. McHugh of the Marblehead Police Department and Edward C. McHugh of Saugus; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late John and Miranda C. (Burnham) Sands.
