June 27, 2003Ariel Puckett, 85, died on June 23, 2003, at Klamath Regional Rehab Center.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Disposition was by Pyramid Cremations. Ward's Klamath Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Puckett was born on July 13, 1917, in Galena, Ore. to John and Florence (Lee) Haskell.
She attended grade school in a one-room schoolhouse in Galena and graduated from Baker High School.
She moved to Klamath Falls from Portland and spent most off her adult life in Klamath County. Her first marriage to Denver Southard ended in divorce. She married Robert D. "Bob" Puckett in Reno. on August 9, 1975.
Mrs. Puckett worked in the culinary trades for many years, at times owning or managing the establishments she worked at. She founded "Granny Puckett Mustard," a company she owned and managed prior to her retirement in 1995.
She was a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 1383, the American Ex-prisoners of War and Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 2090.
She loved the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking for and picking mushrooms in the spring and huckleberries in the late summer, spending time at the coast, deep sea fishing and taking trips to Reno.
Survivors include her husband; sons Dennis Southard and Chris Skalabrin of Central Point; daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Fabian Perez of Klamath Falls, Deanna and Robert Thiel of Grants Pass; Camille and Pete Scala of Midland, Jeanine Henry and Barbara and Rod Pfeiffer, both of Klamath Falls; stepson and wife Douglas J. and Tyann Puckett of Keno; stepdaughters and husbands Katheryn and Ted McCoughannie of Yakima, Wash., Janet M. Puckett of Livermore, Col.; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters, a grandson and a nephew.

Mary Mabel Haskell Bingham, 96, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away May 31, 2023, at her own home in the care of her two daughters.
Mabel was born April 8, 1927, in Pocatello, Idaho, to William Bunce Haskell and Lillian Marie Sewell Haskell. She graduated from Bell High School in Los Angeles, California, where she was honored as the valedictorian of her graduating class. She was also a member of the Honor Society named the Ephebians Club
On October 26, 1946, she married Doyle Louis Bingham in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Rexburg, Idaho Temple. Mabel and Doyle made their home in Idaho Falls, where Mabel was elected as the Bonneville County Treasurer and served in that capacity for 24 years. She was also President of the Idaho Association of County Treasurers from August 1985 through April of 1986.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, bowling, camping, entertaining others, gardening, traveling and her family.
Mabel is survived by her loving daughters, Meri Alice Bybee, and Teresa Marie Woolf; two daughter-in-laws, LaRae (Bingham) Wilson, and Ellen (Bingham) Hinckley; 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Louis Bingham; parents, William Bunce Haskell and Lillian Marie Haskell; sons, William Edwin Bingham, Leslie Doyle Bingham, and Ronald Lloyd Bingham; daughter-in-law, Gail Ellen Bingham; son-in-laws; Scott Don Bybee, and Hank Brent Woolf.

October 17, 2013On Saturday, October 12, 2013, Doyle Louis Bingham, 87, lifetime resident of Idaho Falls, lost his two-year battle with cancer at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born April 29, 1926, in Idaho Falls to Edwin William Bingham and Alice LaVon Ferguson Bingham. He attended local schools in Ammon and Idaho Falls.
After attending Idaho Falls High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the height of World War II. He attended basic training at Farragut Naval Training Center near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was then assigned to the USS Talladega (APA 208) as a gunners mate, manning the 40-millimeter anti-aircraft guns. The Talladega was involved in amphibious landings at Saipan, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and the final surrender at Yokohama Harbor. During the invasion of Iwo Jima, he watched the flag being raised on Mt. Suribachi from his gun mount that had been giving supporting gunfire as the Marines ascended the mountain. The Talladega sailed past the USS Missouri as the peace treaty was being signed between the United States and Japan and was the first ship to dock in Japan and disembark the first Americans to occupy Japan.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, as a Second Class Gunners Mate, he returned to Idaho Falls and married his longtime sweetheart, Mary Mabel Haskell, on October 26, 1946.
With the help of the G.I. Bill, he trained as an electrical apparatus repairman and worked in that field for several years. During this time, the marriage was blessed with five children, three boys and two girls. After his years in the electrical field, he turned his electrical and mechanical knowledge into becoming a proprietor of the Elks Bowling Lanes until his retirement.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Elks Lodge and was a longtime political supporter of the Republican County Treasurer (his wife).
He was an avid sports fan, attending many games of the minor league franchises at Highland Park and later with the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Lakers on television. He also was an avid bowler for many years, participating in several leagues as well as the administration of the local American Bowling Congress Association. He was inducted into the Idaho Falls Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1975, as well as his family being awarded the Idaho State Bowling Family of the Year in 1984. He won several individual and team championships, both local and statewide.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vernal Bingham; two sons, Bill Bingham and Ron Bingham; a son-in-law, Hank Woolf; and a daughter-in-law, Gail Bingham.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mabel; a brother, Vaun Bingham; his children, Les (Gail, deceased) Bingham, Meri (Scott) Bybee and Teresa (Hank, deceased) Woolf; and a daughter-in-law, Ellen Bingham, all of Idaho Falls; 10 grandchildren, Cari (Aaron) Mugleston, Cori (Jenny) Bingham, Clay (Rose) Lancaster, Shannon (Sean) Schmidt, Dani Spannknebel, Clint (Kristi) Bybee, Russell (Lena) Bybee, Brandi (Rob) Humphries, Brent (Tisa) Woolf and Spencer Bingham; and 28 great-grandchildren.

August 17, 2011Dan Norcross passed away at the home of his youngest son on Friday, August 12, 2011 surrounded by his family in Casper, Wyoming.
He was born October 27, 1922 in Arnold, Nebraska, the son of Roswell and Esther (Haskell) Norcross.
He grew up at Esterbrook, Wyoming near Laramie Peak where his parents had a homestead. He graduated from Glendo High School. He served his country in United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. While in training at Norman, Oklahoma, he met Patricia Maher, and they were married on April 10, 1946.
Dan established his family in Casper where he worked as a mechanic. He worked for Keith Thomas Motors. He was then employed at the Standard Oil Refinery for several years before being employed by NL McCullough.
Dan loved visiting with friends and enjoyed telling a good story. Puttering around his home, the yard, and the family cabin and fishing were his favorite pastimes. He loved feeding the "livestock," the birds. He was a member of the American Legion Post 2 and Holy Name Society. People say that he was a sweet man with a kind word for everyone. He had an incredible capacity for love right to the very end.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat, son, Phillip and his wife Sue and grandchildren Keith, Caitlyn, and Wade of New Harbor, Maine, daughter, Susan and her husband Leland McDonald and grandchildren Clay and Kelly of Laramie, Wyoming, son, Chris Norcross of Copperas Cove, Texas and grandchildren Jennifer, Jeremy, Noah, and Caleb Norcross of Casper, son, Ross Norcross, daughter-in-law, Donna and grandchildren Shelby and Ryan of Fort Worth, Texas, daughter, Sarah and her husband, Brian Gates and grandchildren, Kimberly Gates of Surprise, Arizona, Andrea Guerra of Melbourne, Florida, Kaitlyn Gates and Adam Gates of Casper and son, Kevin and his wife Helen and grandchildren Adrionna, Bryce, Nicole, Cassidy, Anastacia, Joshua, Kristina, and Kade. He is also survived by grandchildren Tammy Hise, Eden Pitt, and Danny Denney, and great grandchildren Jaxson Warren, Kaylee McClure, Kainen, Kailah, and Eddie Guerra, and Hunter Pitt.
He was preceded in death by one son, Keith Vincent, and one daughter, Lisa Lea.

February 11, 2009HASKELL, Riley K., Jr. Riley Haskell passed away at his residence in Willits, CA on February 2, 2009. Riley was born to Riley Kent Haskell and Alice (Johnson) Haskell on January 23, 1920 in Gandy, Nebraska.
He grew up a cowboy in his beloved Nebraska Sandhills, graduating from Logan County High School where he was one of five members of the Basketball team that went on to win the State Championship.
One of the happiest days of his life was when he married his wife, Peggy, on March 4, 1939. Peggy preceded him in death on January 10, 2002. Riley's sister, Gayle McGooden and brother, Don Haskell, also preceded him in death.
His brother, Bruce Haskell of North Platte, NE, survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Judy Harvey and her husband, Hershel, of Los Banos, CA; his son, Riley ("Punch") Haskell and his wife, Jeanne, of Colusa, CA; and his daughter, Mary Haskell of Willits, CA; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Riley was a cattleman, working on such ranches as the Wyoming Hereford Ranch, and John Wayne's 26 Bar Ranch in Arizona before finding his way to California. He loved telling his stories about growing up in the Sandhills and the exploits of his great Uncle, "Cap" Haskell.Riley will be taken back to Nebraska where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Peggy, at the Arnold Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the EVERSOLE MORTUARY.

R. Bruce Haskell, 92, of North Platte, passed away February 3, 2021 at Linden Court. He was born July 21, 1928 to Kent and Alice (Johnson) Haskell in Arnold, NE.
Bruce graduated from Stapleton High School with the class of 1946. He was active in sports, earning letters in football and basketball. Bruce graduated from University of Nebraska in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Journalism.
Bruce grew up on a sandhills ranch and spent the early years of life with livestock, his "First Love". After high school he went to Wyoming and was employed at Wyoming Hereford Ranch before starting college. After college he took a job with an agriculture chemical manufacturing company in the sales division. He was in that type of work for many years and worked in many different states in the Midwest.
Bruce was in the United States Army from 1951-1953 with one year of that being in Japan. His assignment was in the veterinary corp. He was a member of American Legion and VFW.
Survivors include two children, Brooke Meyer of McMinnville, OR, and Chad (Melissa) Haskell of Boise, ID; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Riley and Don; sister, Gayle (Bud) McGooden.

July 9, 2013Dorothy Jean Sigman Haskell, 85 of Boise Idaho, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2013.
Dorothy was born and raised in Stapleton, Nebraska. After graduating high school in Stapleton, Dorothy went on to attend Loretta Heights College in Denver, Colorado.
Upon returning to Nebraska she met and married Bruce Haskell in Stapleton on September 9, 1956. They adopted two children; a daughter, Brooke Meyer and a son, Chad Haskell. She has four grandchildren, Tesha Lawson, Teri Jo Adams, Brandon Meyer and Ciara Meyer as well as four great grandchildren. After many years in Nebraska, Dorothy moved on her own to Boise, Idaho, to fulfill a lifelong dream.
Dorothy embraced life. She worked many years as a secretary both in Nebraska and in Boise. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the schools, hospitals and with the church. In her later years she shared her wit, humor and kindness with several local families as a nanny. She also liked spending time with her friends going to the flea market where she found all her beautiful treasures.
