November 6, 2012Mary Audrey Potts Austin, a homemaker, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon.
Audrey was born June 24, 1934 in Memphis, TN to Audley Soule Potts and Mary Christine Potts. She graduated as class valedictorian from Memphis High School.
Audrey married Bruce Green Austin of Grenada, MS on June 24, 1951. The couple had four children.
Bruce preceded her in death in 2003 along with son Stan in 1999 and great-grandson Connor Hallock in 2010.
Her surviving children are daughter, Marge MacDonald (Gary) of Washington State, daughter-in-law, Gwynn Austin of North Carolina; son Steve Austin (Karmen) of Colorado, and son Stuart Austin (Mary Liz) of Brandon, MS. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Volume 10, No. 2, June 2001Ruth (Gentry) Haskell of Memphis, Tennessee, USA died on 22 October 2000, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.
Mrs. Haskell was born August 18, 1916 in Cherryvale, Kansas, where her father was working temporarily. Otherwise she was a life-long Memphian.
She was an avid reader and gardener and loved Memphis. Now she and her father are at rest in Memphis Memorial Park.
She and her husband, Wayne Woodrow Haskell, were married May 31, 1936 in Memphis. He predeceased her October 16, 1968.
Survivors include three Haskell Family Society members: daughters Beverly H. Lee of Memphis, Dr. Jean Haskell of Johnson City, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Haskell of Memphis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Haskell, 88, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at McKenzie Health Care Center. He was born October 11, 1928 in Mayfield, Kentucky to Horace B. and Luna Reed Haskell. He was a field engineer for NCR Company, a global tech company, for 37 years in Houston, Texas, and a member of McKenzie Church of Christ. He entered the U.S. Army in January 1952. He served overseas in Korea from June 1952 to September 1953 as Corporal in Service Battery 981st Field Artillery Battalion. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Susan Haskell Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Doris Forsythe Haskell, one son, Donald Michael Haskell of Fresno, California, three grandchildren, Natalie (David) Weekley of Atlanta, Georgia, Tiffany Haskell of Houston, and Sheridan L. Haskell of Boston, Mass., and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn of Atlanta.
