Predeceased by his wife of 54 years Mary Kathleen (Giles) in 2004.

Survived by his son Brian and daughter Darlene & Wayne Wagenaar.

Predeceased by his parents John Franklin and Julia Ellen and brother Lloyd.

Survived by his brother in law Leslie Giles of St. Thomas,Cliff and Ruth Giles of Greenway and Doreen Giles of Forestas well as several nieces and nephews.

Loving father of Larry Haskell (Rosemary) of Shelburne and Nancy Edgar (Don) of London. Cherished grandpa of Paul Haskell (Laura), Grace Haskell, Kris McDougall (Elyse) and Kaila McDougall (Korey)and by his great-grandchildren Odin, Hunter, and Kelsey. Dear brother of Margaret Brown (the late Stewart) of Chatham, Marlene Cundle (Tom) of Florida and brother-in-law Kenneth McLeod (the late Kaye) of Hamilton. Also missed by many nieces and nephews.

Earl enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.He was a highly respected Principal for many years in London.

Predeceased by her husband Donald (Lloyd) Haskell.

Loving mother of Christopher (Margaret) Haskell, Loretta (Lorie) Haskell, Dale Haskell and Jonathan Haskell. Proud grandmother to Ricky, Kendra, Jordan, Brittany, Devon, Austin, Bailey, Trisha and Olivia. Catherine was a loving and caring foster mom to 69 children.

Baughman, Howard "Melvin" of St. Thomas, passed away on Friday, January 25th, 2013, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 73rd year.

Dearly loved husband of Anna (Haskell) Baughman and loved father of Paul and his wife Lorraine Baughman of St. Thomas and Kimberley Baughman of London. Loved grandfather of Rochelle, Paul Jr. and Jordan and his wife Emily and great grandfather of Lucas. Dear brother of Eleanor Forbes and Evelyn Platter, both of St.Thomas.

Predeceased by 3 brothers Robert, John and Alton Baughman and a sister Doris Ryckman. Sadly missed by anumber of nieces and nephews.

Melvin was born in MalahideTownship on May 27th, 1940, the son of the late Clarence and Jennie Baughman. He was retired from Bathurst Containers. Melvin was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Beloved wife of the late Evans Ross Norris (1974).

Loving mother of Louise LeMay of Florida, Shirley Theoret and Evelyn (Ruth) Norris, both of Windsor. Beloved grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

Predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

Earl Noble Hurdle was the first child of Noble Earl Hurdle & Edith Florence (McLachlin) Hurdle. Most of his youth was spent in Newbury, Ontario. He married his wife, Jessie May Downie, on May 12, 1931 in Newbury. They were the parents of 3 sons, Melvin Carl (Lois), Morley Ray (Patricia), & Edway J.D. Hurdle, that all survive their father.

George was born in Newbury, Middlesex, Ontario Canada and died in Allen Park Veterans Hospital in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan.

He was born to Noble Earl Hurdle & Edith Florence McLachlin. He married Mary Belle Taylor in Wardsville, Ontario in 1933. They had two sons, Donald Norman & John Walter, and moved to the USA in the early 1940's.

He was a music technician. George served in the US Navy. He was survived by his wife, sons, and 5 grandchildren.

He was also survived by his mother in Newbury, Canada and his brother, Earl.


Mary Belle Taylor

Mary Belle Taylor was the fourth of nine children born to Wilkie John and Laura May (Bergey) Taylor. She was born on the family farm in Mosa Township in Middlesex Co., Ontario Canada, on May 18, 1912.

Her siblings were: Alice Jean (Tunks), Barbara Ann (Vetter), Charles Angus (Della), Donald Irwin (Nancy), John Wilkie (single), Frank, Gordon Oliver & Dorothy Phyllis Taylor (McColl).

She married George Edway Hurdle and they moved to the USA in the early 1940's. He served in the US Navy. They had two sons, Donald & John and 5 grandchildren.

She moved to Fullerton, CA in the 1960's to be near her children, where she lived until her death. She retired from American Can Co., the Dixie Cup Division in Anaheim, CA. Mary was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton where she served by folding bulletins every week with her friends. She also loved to bowl and she bowled up to the day she died from a heart attack at her home in Fullerton. Mary told the story that she was actually born on the 25th, but her father didn't register her right after her birth, and when he did he had fogotten the exact day... and entered the 18th. So the 18th it stayed.
