Beulah Coombs, 100, formerly of Rockland, died December 2, 2004 at Coves Edge Nursing Center in Damariscotta where she had lived for several years and was cared for and loved by a team of wonderful, caring people. Born in Steuben, July 24, 1904, Beulah was the eldest of eight children of Eugene and Flossie Follett Pinkham. She graduated from Steuben high school, class of 1923.

Moving to Rockland in the 1940s, Beulah worked as a housekeeper for many local families. She resided in Rockland until the 1990s.

Predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Brann in 1978 and a granddaughter, Lorna Brann in 1985,

Beulah is survived by a son, Colon Haskell and his wife Delvine of Milbridge; a daughter, Patricia Johnston and her husband Wayne of Nobleboro; a sister Lorna Gay of Sun Lakes, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Bonnie Crosby, Kathy Young, Fred Haskell, James Haskell all of Milbridge, Lisa Dailey of Windsor, David Dailey of South Thomaston, Stephen Brann of California; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
