Madolyn Ella Thompson, 93, housewife, died Saturday, November 25, 2000 at Sunbridge of N. Reading in Wilmington, .
She was born March 19, 1907 in Deer Island, Maine the daughter of Martin and Mabel (Grey) Greene.
Madylyn came to Everett at an early age, and attended the Everett School system. For at time she worked at Thompsons Spa, where she worked as a casheir and wrapped pastries. After her marraige to Milton Thompson, she resided in Malden where they raised their close knit family. After Miltons retirement, they moved to Plaistow NH. They grew vegatables on their farm, and were active the the church social scene. Madolyn also enjoyed planting flowers, knitting, embroidering, and making afghans.
She is survived by daughters Beverly Mc Millen of Malden, Mary Osterholt of Malden, Helene Sawyer of Lynn, and son, Bradley Thompson, and brothers Kenneth Greene of Everett, Victor Greene of Lynn.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton, her father Martin Greene, her mother Mabel Grey, her brothers Arthur Greene, Thomas Greene, Donald Greene, and Martin Greene.

October 22, 1996Bertha L. Thompson, 92, of Suffolk Street died unexpectedly Sunday at her home.
She was born in Friendship, a daughter of Olando and Jennie Burgess Lawry, and attended local schools.
In June 1920, she married Eugene Thompson. He died Oct. 15, 1952.
Mrs. Thompson resided on Suffolk Street for more than 40 years.
She was a seamstress for Van Baalen Pacific.
She was a member of Owls Head Grange, the Darmeta Club, the Rebekahs and the World War I VFW Auxiliary.
Her companion, Arthur Williams, with whom she had resided for many years, died in 1990.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Thompson of Glen Cove; four daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Jennie) Witham of Owls Head, Mrs. Toivo (Lucie T.) Suomela of Westbrook and Port Charlotte, Fla., Mrs. Russell (Grace) Stellings of Portland, and Mrs. Glennice Simmons of Rockland; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
