Freeman Charles Haskell at age 42 was a  lobster fisherman (1900 Federal Census for Stonington, Hancock county, ME).  He died of pneumonia.

Camden Sept. 23 - Maynard A. Eaton, 55, husband of Alura (Williams) Eaton, died in a Camden Gospital Thursday.

He was born in Vinalhaven May 13, 1904, the son of Frank and Nancy (Beggs) Eaton.

He lived most of his life in Camden. For the past eight years he had been employed by William Chatfield.

Surviving besides his widow is his mother of South Thomaston; a son Alfred R. Eaton of Hartford, Conn.; a daughter, Mrs. Karlene M. Farrar of Rockland; a brither, Winslow R. Eaton of Camden; a sister, Mrs. Doris Makie of South Thomaston; four grandchildren.

DEER ISLE - Jennie E. Haskell, 89, died July 17, 1988, at a Bangor hospital. She was born December 29,1898, on Little Deer Isle, the daughter of Henry B. and Mary (Weed) Eaton.

She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. Vernon L. Haskell in 1965.

She is survived by four sons, Henry V. Haskell of Edgewood, MD, Rev. Windsor Haskell of Waterville, Edward R. Haskell of Deer Isle and Harold L. Haskell of Meriden, CT; two daughters, Mrs. Winslow (Vernita) E. Hardie and Mrs. Clarence (Carolyn) Sawyer, both of Stonington; 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Eaton of Little Deer Isle and one sister, Rena Haskell of Stonington.

Interment, at the Haskellville Cemetery, Little Deer Isle.
