July 11, 1967Rev. Franklin McLain Bass, 87, of Falmouth, Mass., former Simsbury pastor, died at the Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., Sunday.
He was born in Worcester, Mass. He was the minister for two years of the Wallingford Methosis Church, Wallingford. He was pastor of the Mary Taylor Memorial Methodist Church in Milford for 10 years and the Simsbury Methodist Church for 16 years. He then moved to Falmouth, Mass. where he was pastor of the John Wesley Methodist Church for seven years.
He was a member of the New York Eastern Conference for 28 years and the Souther New England Conference for seven years.
He leaves his wife, Ethel Farnham Bass and a sonb, Stuart M. Bass of Pomfret; a daughter, Miss Geraldine Bass of Falmoith, Mass.; and one brother, Kendall Daily Bass of Camden, Maine.
