DEER ISLE -- Ernest Barbour, 82, died at a Bangor hospital Saturday following a short illness.
He was born May 7, 1885, here, the son of Benjamin and Susan (Hardy) Barbour.

Surviving are a son, Donald of Portland; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Larson of Rumford, Mrs. Caroline Huntsman of Wilbraham, Mass. and Mrs. Harriet Heanssler of Deer Isle; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Christian Science Church in Portland; and worked as a marine engineer, spending the greater part of his life at sea.

DEER ISLE -- Sue A. Barbour, 77, wife of Ernest Barbour, died at her home here Saturday.

She was born at Atkinson April 5, 1886, daughter of Addison and Elizabeth (Barney) Harvey.

She was a member of the Christian Science Church of Portland.

CHERRYFIELD, June 15--Funeral services were conducted recently for Harry Campbell, who died June 3 at his home after a brief illness. He was 81 years old. Rev. Harry Taylor of Milbridge officiated.

Born in Deer Isle, son of Samuel and Diana (Hardy) Campbell, he had lived at Cherryfield the past 40 years. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Besides his wife, Myrtie (Wood) Campbell, he is survived by three sons, George and Russell Campbell of Cherryfield and Walter Campbell of Flint, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. J. O. McBeth, Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Mrs. W. D. Cumming, Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Arthur Campbell, Deer Isle; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Grace Haskell, Deer Isle, and Mrs. Alberta Brown, Camden. There also are seven grand-children and seven great-grandchildren.

Cherryfield, Sepr. 11 - Mrs. Myrtle G. Campbell, 76, died suddenly at her home hrer Saturday night. She was the widow of Harry Campbell.

She was born in Stonington but lived here during her married life.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice Cunning of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Gertrude McBeth of Eagle Grove, Iowa; three sons, Walter of Flint, Mich., Russell of Beddington, and George of this town; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Annis of Saugus, Mass., and Mrs. Elizabeth Haskell, of Stonington; a brothrt, Edward Wood of Stonington.
