October 25, 1968Carolyn E. Burton, 79, a native and lifelong resident of St. Albans, Maine died Wednesday at a Waterville, Maine hospital after a brief illness.
She was born October 17, 1889, the daughter of George and Mary (Murray) Goodwin.
She attended local schools and married Edward T. Burton on May 18, 1910. She was a member of Union Church, the Helpful Workers Club and the Christmas Club.
Survivors besides her husband include a son, Clancy Burton, and a daughter, Glenna Bartlett, both of St. Albans; four grandchildren, five great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
