Moved to Richardson; Joined Toastmasters International ; Volunteered at Network of Community Ministries. Original board member and interviewer as a representative of Messiah Lutheran Church in 1986. Also served as daily coordinator, volunteer coordinator, and treasurer. First volunteer to reach 2,000 hours of service. Bert has been a Toastmaster for over 30 years. She joined the Richardson Evening Toastmasters club in February, 1974. she was one of the first women in North Texas to join Toastmasters after Toastmasters bylaws were changed to allow women members.
In 1981-1982 she was the first woman to serve as District Governor for Northeast Texas and Northwest Louisiana.

July 29, 2008ARNOLD, Dorothy Josephine Evertts, age 98, died on Friday, July 25, 2008, at Kendal at Ithaca.
She was born on August 5, 1909 in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of Olney W. and Edna Haskell Evertts.
She attended Elmira schools and the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester.
On October 18, 1930, she married Edward Frank Arnold, a singer at Franklin Street Presbyterian Church of Elmira where she held her first Organist position. She later became Organist at her home church, North Presbyterian, then Minister of Music at First Baptist Church until moving to Ithaca in 1959.
While in Elmira, she was active in the Thursday Morning Musicales and in church organizations, and was accompanist for The Kiwanis Quartet, while raising two sons and helping care for her grandmother, Ada Haskell. In Ithaca she was Organist for several years at the First Congregational Church, then moved to the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as Organist for nearly 30 years. During this time she was active in the PEO Sisterhood, in church-related groups, and community service.
She was a member of the Ithaca Yacht Club, Ithaca Country Club, and Friends of Ithaca College. She also assisted her husband in the establishment and management of the Arnold Printing Corporation, which they sold in 1976, but which continues under their name.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Dean E. Arnold (Juliet) of State College, PA, and David E. Arnold (Susan) of Paoli, PA; also two granddaughters, Margaret A. Higgins (Mark) of State College, PA, and Kimberly A. Amaral (Stephen) of Sackets Harbor, NY; a grandson, Douglas E. Arnold (Jennifer) of West Chester, PA; two step granddaughters, Lara K. Myers of Honolulu, HI, and Tamara M. Schulz (James) of Mechanicsburg, PA; three great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward E. Arnold; a grandson, David E. Arnold; and her brother, Richard H. Evertts.

Mooney was born February 5, 1916, a daughter of Ralph J. and Vella VanGordon Haskell. She is predeceased by husbands, M. Richard Carlson in 1972, and Webster Haskins in 2007, daughter and son-in-law Ellen and Thomas C. Park III, sisters, Margery Deet Haskell Johnson, Helen Honnie Haskell Keeton, and brother Ralph M. Brud Haskell.
Mooney is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Myron R. Dick Carlson and Mary Brownstein of Marshall, VA; grandchildren, Mark Carlson, Stephen Carlson, Anne Thruston, all of Manassas, VA, Karen (Thomas) White of Trumansburg, Kristina Park of Washington, DC, and Amy (Russell) Hicks of Williamsburg, VA; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Madeline White, Laura Hicks, and Joseph Garland; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce J. and Joan Haskell of Elmira; sister-in-law Dorothy Haskell of Elmira; step-daughters, Bonnie Hofbauer of Lander, WY, Joan Swift of Eugene, OR, and Shirley Biele of Forked River, NJ; along with several nieces and nephews.Mooney was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy, a long time volunteer with Arnot Ogden Auxiliary and a lifetime faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed her summers at Keuka Lake with her family and friends. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Mooney will be missed by all who knew her.

He was born June 2, 1941 in Brigton, New Jersey, the son of Thomas C. Park II and Marie Selby Park.
Tom was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He was an Investment Counselor with Allianz Corporation of New York City. He was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bath and attended St. James Episcopal Church in Hammondsport. He was a former member of the Haverling School Board. Tom was a lover of life and an eternal optimist.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Southard Park of Bath; three daughters, Karen (Tom) White of Trumansburg, NY, Kristina Park of Washington, DC and Amy (Russell) Hicks of Newport News, VA; two stepsons, Sean (Jennifer) Southard of Bay Side, NY and Chad Southard of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Abigail Marie and Madeline Kristina White, John Edward Southard and Brigid Rose Southard; his brother, James (Nancy) Park of Navato, CA; nephew, Chrostopher Park; and niece, Chloe Park of Navato, CA; mother-in-law, Mildred H. William H. "Bill" Miller, 70, of Troy Heights, PA, passed away on his birthday, March 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Nina L. (Comfort) Miller. The couple married September 5, 1998 and had 15 happy years together.
Bill was born on March 3, 1945 in Elmira, New York, son of the late Jess B. Miller and Marjorie (Haskell) Miller-Johnson.
He was a US Army veteran, serving his country in the Viet Nam War. Bill enjoyed selling cars. He was a car salesman for several automobile dealerships in the area including Eighmey Buick where he was working for the past few years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy and the Wednesday Night Bowling League at Terrace Lanes in Troy. Bill was a collector. He enjoyed NASCAR, Penn State, and the New England Patriots and collected all kinds of memorabilia from them. He liked to watch "Pickers" on television because he was a collector just like the men on the show. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time at Keuka Lake. Moreover, Bill was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife Nina, his son William H. (Treena) Miller, II of Spring Lake, PA, his step children: Tammy Barton and companion Mike Ward of Pine City, NY, William (Crystal) Leff of Cochranville, PA, Scott (Tammy) Leff of Bentley Creek, PA, Sherri (Rimon) Armaly of Mundelein, IL, Kevin (Brenda) Hicks of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Mike (Candice) Hicks of Oneonta, AL, and Leslie (Bill) Ellsworth of Troy, PA, his grandchildren: J.D. Brud was born June 16, 1927, a son of the late Ralph J. and Vella (VanGordon) Haskell.
He was predeceased by sisters, Margery Haskell Johnson and Honnie Haskell Keeton.
Brud is survived by his wife of 58 years Dorothy Gregory Haskell; daughter Debbie Haskell Johnson of Elmira; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Berneice (Dailey) Haskell of Chemung; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Smith of Fairport NY, Kristi Haskell of Elmira and Gregory R. (Tammy) Haskell of Horseheads; great granddaughters, Lauryn and Morgan Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Webster Haskins of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce J. and Joan Haskell of Elmira; along with several nieces and nephews.Brud was a US Navy veteran and served in Guam during WW II. He was an owner and president of Ralph J. Haskell Inc. of Elmira. Brud was a member of the Elmira Elks Lodge #62. He was a life member and former commissioner of the West Hill Fire Department.
Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.

July 19 to July 26, 2011Mary-Alice M. (McKinstry) Morey, 83, of Natick passed away on July 18, 2011 surrounded by her cherished family in her home. She was the beloved wife of Roger G. Morey with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. The daughter of the late Edward L. and Norma (Haskell) McKinstry,
Mrs. Morey was born on January 31, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a direct descendent of Peregrine White who was the first child born to the Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower while it was anchored in Provincetown Harbor in 1620.
Mrs. Morey was raised in West Hempstead, L.I., New York where she attended school and graduated from Hempstead High School. While in high school she was co-captain of the cheerleading squad. She went on to earn her B.A. degree in English Literature at Adelphi University where she was the president of the Tri-Delta sorority.
She was united in marriage to Roger G. Morey on June 24, 1950 and together they made their home in Hicksville, L.I., New York prior to moving to Natick in 1960. Mrs. Morey was a dedicated and nurturing teacher to many young children for over 20 years at the Natick Cooperative Nursery School. She was an advocate throughout the Natick community involved in the founding of the Natick Service Council and as a member of the Natick Womens Club. An avid gardener, Mrs. Morey was a member of the 15 Gardeners of Natick and the Garden Club of Natick. She was instrumental in helping with the numerous planting and gardening projects to beautify the Natick Downtown area. In addition to gardening, Mrs. Morey enjoyed ballroom dancing and spending summers in Damariscotta, Maine where she found great solice in canoeing and swimming.
As a cancer survivor for the past 11 years, Mrs. Morey was a role model and source of great encouragement to those living with a terminal illness. Her motto was to always stay positive and keep living. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Wellesley and a former member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Natick.
In addition to her beloved husband, Mrs. Morey is survived by her devoted children, Pamela M. Sherrill and her husband Michael of Rumford, R.I., Richard H. Morey of Yarmouthport, and Elizabeth A. Marotta and her husband George E. of Milford. She was the cherished grandmother of Joshua Okolita of Lynn, Ellen Newbury of Gray, ME, and Sarah Okolita of Richmond, VA and great-grandmother of Ivy Alice Newbury; loving aunt of Nancy Thayer and family of Bridgehampton, L.I., NY; and dear sister of the late Norman McKinstry and Susan F. McKinstry.
