Wilbur was killed from a tragic accident on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 on county road P58.
Wilbur A. Dickerson was born September 27, 1932 in Perry, Iowa the son of Wilbur and Emma (Waldron) Dickerson. He attended Perry Community Schools and graduated from Perry High School in 1950. Wilbur was united in marriage to Naomi E. Waltz July 1, 1956 in Perry, Iowa. Wilbur worked at AMF as a line inspector for thirty three years in Des Moines, IA before working for the Perry Alco Store for nineteen years, before his retirement.
Wilbur was active with Perry City Government. He was on the Planning and Zoning Board for many years, Tree Board, Compliance Officer and was a member of the Dallas County Tax Payers Association.
Survivors include three sons William (Barbara) Dickerson, Runnells, IA, Robert (Nancy) Dickerson, West Des Moines, IA and Scot (Sherry) Dickerson, Clive, IA; seven grandchildren Raquel Dickerson, Steele Dickerson, Andrew Dickerson, Nathan Dickerson, Daniel Dickerson, Luke Dickerson, Jason Dickerson and one great grandson Anson Dickerson.
Preceding Wilbur in death were his parents, wife on August 27, 2015, two brothers and one sister.

Naomi passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home in Perry.
Naomi Elizabeth Dickerson was born August 4, 1938 the daughter of Emerald and Mildred (Brittain) Waltz in rural Madison County, IA.
She was united in marriage to Wilbur Dickerson on July 1, 1956 in Perry. Naomi worked as a nurse's aid at the Dallas County Hospital for many years. Survivors include her husband Wilbur Dickerson of Perry, IA; three sons William (Barbara) Dickerson of Runnells, IA, Robert (Nancy) Dickerson of West Des Moines, IA and Scot (Sherry) Dickerson of Clive, IA; Seven grandchildren Raquel Dickerson, Steele Dickerson, Andrew Dickerson, Nathan Dickerson, Daniel Dickerson, Luke (Eun Jung) Dickerson and Jason Dickerson and one great grandchild Anson Dickerson.

Frances Maxine Cheatham, 91, of Peoria passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at UnityPoint Health Methodist ER in Peoria.
She was born November 25, 1924 in Roseau, MN to Ernest and Florence Waldron Harn.
She married Herman Berry Cheatham Sr. on October 18, 1947 in Peoria; he preceded her in death October 2, 1996.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Earnest) Hemmerlein, Tonya Hecht, Linda Cheatham, Vickie Flaugher, Nina (James) Eggleston, Pauline Bressler, Bonnie Hubbard, Nancy Chapai; son, Herman (Audrey) Cheatham Jr.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley (Nancy) Harn; ex son-in-laws, Dan Hecht and Dennis McWhirter.
She enjoyed birds, gardening, traveling and camping. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

October 4, 1996PEORIA -- Herman B. Cheatham Sr., 74, of 2409 NE Adams died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born Dec. 12, 1921, in Peoria to Raymond L. and Gertrude O. Decker Cheatham, he married Frances M. Harn on Oct. 18, 1947, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Herman B. Jr. of Springfield, Mo.; eight daughters, Mrs. Earnest (Catherine) Hemmerlein of Williamsville, Mo., Mrs. Dan (Tonya) Hecht of Ely, Minn., Linda McWhirter of Rifle, Colo., Vickie Flaugher and Mrs. Randy (Pauline) Bressler, both of Bartonville, and Mrs. James (Nina) Eggleston, Mrs. Steve (Bonnie) Hubbard and Nancy Chapai, all of Peoria; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. e was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
He worked in the bottling department at Pabst Brewery for 40 years, retiring in 1982. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Peoria Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Loving father of Mark E. Edmondson and his wife, Sandra of Petaluma and Jean Marie Van Lare and her husband, Donald of Santa Rosa. Adored grandfather of Isabel Edmondson and Ryan L. Edmondson of Petaluma, Howard Van Lare and Wyatt Van Lare of Santa Rosa. Beloved brother of Norman Edmondson and Darrell Edmondson both of Perry, Iowa and the late Jack Edmondson.
A native of Perry, Iowa. Age 75 years. Mr. Edmondson, a Petaluma resident since 1973, is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a compliance officer. He was an avid birder and led many bird walks with the Madrone Audubon Society.

Norman is survived by his son Craig Edmondson (Julie) of Boone, daughter Cathy Greimann (Steven) of Perry, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, his brother Darrell Edmondson (Bev) of Perry and special friend Charlemagne Cirksena. Memorials are to be sent to the family.

Norman Eldon Edmondson, son of Ralph Edmondson and Alberta Waldron Edmondson, was born on March 16, 1934 in Perry, Iowa and died January 3, 2013 in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 78.
Norman lived in Perry his whole life. He graduated from Perry High School in 1952. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and was aboard the USS Dixie as Machinist Mate First Class.
On November 8, 1958 Norman and Edna JoAnne Nicolaisen were united in marriage. They were blessed with a son Craig and daughter Cathy.
Norman enjoyed the outdoors where he would fish, walk through the timber looking for mushrooms, and walk the railroad tracks. He worked for Ace Hardware, Perry Milk Products, and then at Meadow Gold for 35 years until he retired in the spring of 1995.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Alberta; wife Edna; brothers Lewis "Jim" and Jack Edmondson.

Edna JoAnne Edmondson, daughter of John Nicolaisen and Meta Leibe Nicolaisen, was born December 21, 1938 in Perry, Iowa, and died December 23, 2007 in Perry, Iowa at the age of 69 years and 2 days.
Edna was a life-long resident of Perry. She graduated from Perry High School in 1956.
Edna Married Norman Eldon Edmondson on November 8, 1958. They were parents of two children, Craig and Cathy.
Edna worked for Fareway during High school and for a time thereafter. She worked cleaging 3000 acres of bean fields for Riley farms for seventeen years, passing on her hard working ethics to Craig and Cathy. Edna's love of cooking and baking made her a natural as an employee of Bill and Kay's Maid Rite for over ten years until they closed. Edna always raised large gardens which she loved. She canned and shared her produce. Edna also crocheted, making many afghans for her family and friends. She seemed to thrive on hard work, and was happiest when cooking and entertaining.
Edna was preceded in deathy by her parents; two brothers, Hans and Nick; sisters, Anna Alexander, Eleanore Martin, and Carol Lightchuck.

February 18, 2007PESOTUM - Ralph "Hap" Waldron, 95, of Pesotum died at 2:55 a.m. Feb. 16, 2007, at The Carle Arbours, Savoy.
Mr. Waldron was born Jan. 28, 1912, in Paxton, a son to Albert and Eva Swanson Waldron. He married Ruby Polston on Nov. 16, 1935, in Paris, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ralph Waldron Jr. of Corvallis, Ore.; a sister, Wanda R. Dyson of Champaign; a brother, Kenneth Waldron of Front Royal, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Waldron, two sisters, Lucille Beales and Lorene Butterick, and a brother, Merle O. Waldron.
He attended Pesotum United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Urbana Masonic Lodge 157 and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Consistory Valley of Danville. He retired from Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul in 1979.

March 8, 2011SAVOY - Ruby B. Waldron, 92, of Savoy, formerly of Pesotum, died at 2:35 a.m. Sunday (March 6, 2011).
Mrs. Waldron was born on Feb. 17, 1919, in DeLand, the daughter of Grover and Merle (Prough) Polston. She married Ralph H. Waldron Sr. in 1935. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Ralph H. Waldron Jr. of Corvallis, Ore.; a sister, Juanita Orr of Pesotum; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy A. Waldron.
Mrs. Waldron was a food supervisor at the University of Illinois and she loved to cook.

Ms. Waldron was born Nov. 13, 1944, in San Diego, a daughter of Ralph and Ruby Polston Waldron. Survivors include her parents of Pesotum; and a brother, Ralph Waldron of Corvallis, Ore.
Ms. Waldron was a nanny for Curt and Claudia Anderson for many years. She was president of the Bismarck Woman's Club and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his sons, Michael P. Thomas of Springfield, John F. Thomas of Cleveland, Tenn., and Peter C. Thomas of Gainesville, Fla.; daughters LeAnne Kinkelaar and Jennifer N. Thomas, both of Santa Fe, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
