April 23, 2007Phyllis Lamson Otto 86, Indianapolis, passed away April 21, 2007.
She was born March 4, 1921 to Philip and Faye (Hunter) Lamson, who preceded her in death.
Phyllis graduated from Shortridge High School, and she attended Indiana University. She was a member of Irvington Coterie, long-time member of Irvington Club, Chautauqua Society Reading Group, Irvington Garden Club, Brown County Garden Club, Adult Literacy League volunteer tutor, IMC Public Library volunteer, and Eagle Creek volunteer naturalist. After raising four children, she returned to work as Office Manager at J.C. Penney Co. carpet warehouse, from which she retired. She was an avid reader, gardener and traveler.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Thomas (Pamela), Mary Beth, and John of Indianapolis, and Barbara (Kurt) of Brown County; grandchildren, Dan Albright, Todd Otto, Zachary Helm, Alison (Joseph) Olinger, and Mark Sullivan; and great-grandson, Roarke Albright Ireland.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Keith D. Otto; sister, Kathryn Hartley; brother, Thomas H. Lamson; and grandson, Philip Otto.

August 7, 2004Thomas Hunter Lamson 80, of Wilmington, NC died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the Lower Caper Fear Hospice Care Center.
He was born in Charleston, IL on May 18, 1924 to the late Philip Everhart Lamson and Gladys Faye Hunter Lamson.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Lamson Hartley.
Col. Lamson attended Vanderbilt University and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1949. He served for 37 years in the US Army as a public health physician, including service as a faculty member at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, as medical liaison officer to the British Army, and as deputy director of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. During his career he received The Distinguished Service Medal, The Legion of Merit, and The Defense Superior Service Medal. He was also a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wilmington.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Anne Heins Lamson; children, Philip H. Lamson and wife Nina P. Lamson of Decatur, GA, Nancy K. Lamson and husband Robert M. Hollister of Chapel Hill, NC, M. Brooke Lamson and husband Thomas C. Pollard of Wilmington, and Alice H. Lamson of Chapel Hill; his sister, Phyllis Lamson Otto of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Marian H. Lamson and Thomas P. Lamson of Decatur, GA, Elizabeth A. Pollard and Alice K. Pollard of Wilmington and Kelton V. Hollister of Chapel Hill; and nephews and nieces, Thomas Otto, Barbara Otto Helm, Mary Beth Otto and John Otto, all of Indianapolis, IN.

Volume 9, No. 1, March 2000Harry Dupraz Lamson, 99, of Vevay, Indiana, USA, passed away August 10, 1999, in hospital. On August 16th 1925 he married Lucille Haskell, who survives. They would have celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary six days later.
Other survivors include son, Robert Lamson and wife Roberta; grandchildren, Michael, Lee Ann, Davina, Deborah, Kelly and Robert; and great-grandchildren, Laura, Robert, Holly and Dana. He was preceded in death by sons William Nelson Lamson in 1930 and John Michael Lamson in 1970.
Burial was in Vevay Cemetery with full military rites.

Volume 12, No. 1, March 2003Mrs. Lucille "Sis" (Haskell) Lamson, 96, died suddenly, on 18 December 2002 in Vevay Indiana, U.S.A. She was born 5 March 1906 in Vevay, daughter of Fred & Nell (Coghill) Haskell. Her loving husband of 74 years, Harry Dupraz Lamson died on 10 August 1999.
Survivors include her son, Robert Lamson and wife Roberta of Indianapolis, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Jeanne HaskeJl.
She was preceded in death by her sons William Nelson Lamson in 1930 and John Michael Lamson in 1970, and her brother Nelson W. Haskell in 1966.
Burial in Vevay Cemetery.

June 21, 1991Lucy Lehman, 87, 1306 E. Central Ave., Greensburg, died at 3 a.m. today, June 21, 1991 in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 7, 1904 in Vevay, Ind., the daughter of Charles B. and Clara Gordon Lamson.
She was a retired elementary school teacher, and had lived in Decatur County since the spring of 1946. She taught for a year in Switzerland County, for eight years in the Greensburg City Schools, and for an additional 30 years in Decatur County, including the Adams and Marion Township schools. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg, the Decatur County Retired Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Lois Chapter 147 OES and was a past matron of the chapter.
On Jan. 2, 1926, she married J. Burney Lehman in Falmouth, Ky., and he survives; with one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Citha) Mattall, Borrego Springs, Calif.
One brother, Charles Lamson, preceded her in death.
