June 23, 1975Mrs. Laura E. (Haskell) Quirk, 81, of Stuttart, West Germany, formerly of 82 Pleasant St., Ware, former member of the Mary Lane Hospital Board of Directors, died Wednesday in West Germany.
Besides being a member of the Ware hospital's board of directors, she was a member of the Rosary Sodality of All Saints Church, Ware, and Daughters of Isabella.
Born in Ware, she lived there most of her life before moving to West Germany nine months ago.
She was the widow of William P. Quirk, former owner of Quirk Oil Co., Ware. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Bautz, wife of General Edward Bautz, stationed with the U. S. Armed Forces in West Germany; two grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

May 25, 1983Edith H. (Haskell0 Ward, 93, of 370 Pine St., Springfield, retired domestic for the Magnolia House, died Friday in a local nursing home. A lifelong resident of Springfield, she was the widow of Charles Ward. She leaves a grandson, Al Unds of Enfield, Conn.
