Dignity Memorial
Heaven is a little brighter today with the addition of Marineile Wolfe?s beautiful smile and sparkling laughter. She departed this world on August 17, 2006 as a result of congestive heart failure.
Marineile began her journey on January 2, 1915, the sixth and youngest child of Joseph Pickett Williams and Mary Florence Hurt Williams. She spent the majority of her childhood in Houston and Van, Texas.
It was in Houston that this consummate flirt met, and on Easter Sunday, 1936, married George Edward Wolfe.
She and Ed worked side by side at their printing shop and together raised two boys, George and Neile, who reportedly walked on water.
In 1981, Marineile and Ed retired to Georgetown where she developed a tight network of friends and where laughter was never in short supply. Several years after Ed's death, she moved to assisted living at the Grand Court in Round Rock, and then to the Summit at Northwest Hills, where she was known as "The Queen Bee" and often described as "the backbone of the facility". Marineile was a volunteer extraordinaire and claims to have been the president of every organization she was ever involved with Cub Scouts, Garden Club, Eastern Star, Handcrafts Unlimited, Residents Council, and numerous others. She was a devout Baptist and member of South Main Baptist Church in Houston and Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown. She loved Jesus, food, art, flowers, and games. Marineile was quick witted until the end and she delighted in the turn of a phrase. Not that anyone was keeping score, but when last checked, she was soundly beating Neile at their weekly Scrabble game, and it's possible that now that she's gone somebody else will have a chance to win at the Summit bridge or dominoes table.
Marineile is survived by George Wolfe and Suzanne Ste. Therese of Connecticut; Cyrus Wolfe of New York City; Neile, Jan, Emily and Jenny Wolfe of Austin; and dear longtime friends Dave and Hugette Gauger of Dallas, Justyne Banks of Georgetown, Carol Brinkmann of Leander, and Fran and Lewis Sims of Georgetown. There are thousands of other dear friends, too numerous to mention individually, but you know who you are.

February 20, 2018James Richard, Dick, Demory 74 years old, died on 02/16/18 in his home in Sperryville, Va, after a long struggle to cope with metastatic colon cancer.
Dick was well-loved by his large family and circle of friends, but no one was more disappointed in his premature death than he was because Dick was a doer, and there were still projects to complete and additional skills to master, and he really wanted to cut another 6 cords or so of firewood and cook and share a home-cured country ham he'd been aging.
No one who met Dick was not impressed by how capable he was. He started his professional life as a bricklayer, but he was identified as someone with additional talents and hired by Neutron Products, Inc. where he became a skilled technician who made and installed Cobalt 60 sources at installations throughout North America and Europe. He continued to acquire skills and master building and farming practices, fine woodworking, as well as leather tooling, chair-caning, and even basket weaving. He was generous with his time and abilities, and most of us who knew him well have something he made for us, whether it's a leather belt or the foundation of a new home. In his last years, he enjoyed making various, sometimes dubious (pecans?), moonshine recipes of his own invention, and sitting on the deck he built to smoke a cigar and think about his next project.
Dick is survived by his wife, Lisa Jones, and son Glenden Jake Demory, and in-laws Bet and Jake Jones of Sperryville, VA. He is also survived by a son, Rich Demory, his daughter-in-law Catherine, and four grandchildren, Amanda, Noelle, Jim, and Hannah of Damascus, MD. Dick loved his siblings and their families very much. His surviving full siblings and spouses are Mae Pearrell, Junior Demory, Barbara and Junior Wilt, Shirley Phillips, Les and Mary Demory, Ron and Dottie Demory, Susie Tucker, and Louise Dinterman.
