Grace Evelyn Farmer, 99, of New Albany, IN and formerly of Charlestown, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at River Crossing Assisted Living in Charlestown.
She was born on August 8, 1915 to Sam and Lela (Fitzlar) Williams in Clark Co., IN. She was a retired cook for Pleasant Ridge Elementary, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Farmer, and a son, Larry Farmer.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Susie Jenks of New Albany, IN; grandsons, Scott Farmer of New Albany, IN, and Mark Farmer of Perth, Australia; granddaughter, Sharon Bullock of Baton Rouge, LA; 4 great-grandchildren.

Mary F. Mathes, 93, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Golden Living Center, Brandywine.
She was born May 17, 1915 in Marion County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Albert and Inez (Fritzler) Barlow.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of Currys Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by sons, Jack C. (Carol) of Greenfield and Richard (Maureen) Mathes of New Palestine; daughter, Carol Thompson; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Mathes; son, Stephen Mathes; sisters, Mable Huffman and Katherine Hopper; brother, Henry Albert Barlow.

She lived in Stuart for 20 years, coming from southern Indiana and Kentucky.
She earned a licensed practical nurse degree and worked in labor, delivery and operating rooms.
She was a minister for the Church of the Nazarene in the southern Indiana and Kentucky districts.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ernest Hopper, in 1981.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Mckee of Stuart, Geraldine Smith of Danville, Va., and Paula Weaver of Church Road, Va.; sister, Frances Mathes of Greenfield, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

May 23, 2003A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2003, in Holladay Park Church of God for Forest Gilbert Fritzler, who died May 12 at age 70.
Mr. Fritzler was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Noblesville, Ind. He graduated from Anderson College in Indiana and received a master's degree from Ball State University. He moved to Portland in 1969 and was a certified public accountant for Fordham & Fordham and then was self-employed. In 1954, he married R. Shirley Nelson.
Survivors include his wife; son, Joel C.; daughters, Julie M. Jackson and Janna K. Fritzler; and two grandchildren.
