"Word was received here yesterday of the deaths in Los Angeles of FRANKLYN L. HASKELL, former businessman, and his wife, MRs. EMMA S. HASKELL, 79, one of Chicago's early leaders in work for crippled children. Mrs. Haskell died Jan 12 and her husband a week later. Mr. Haskell was an official of a trunk company in Chicago. Mrs. Haskell at one time was head teacher of the board of education's crippled children's school before the first Spalding School was built in 1907. She was a leader for 42 years in the Outing Association for Crippled Children. The couple moved to Los Angeles about 15 years ago."(Contributed by a descendant.)

Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Wacker, Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Barbara Barnard, Dunedin; and Mrs. Joyce Lee, Dunnedin; six grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Turner, Lake Worth, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Plummer, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. James Guetzlaff, Dunedin.

June 17, 2005HASSELBERGER, MARY JANE GUETZLAFF, 90, of Clearwater, died Saturday (June 11, 2005) at Hillside Gardens Assisted Living Facility, Clearwater.
She came here in 1953 from her native Chicago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin and Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor.
Survivors include two nieces, Joyce Lee, St. Petersburg, and Marjorie Wacker, Madison, Wis.; a grandniece, Cindy Whitten, Safety Harbor; and two great-grandnephews.

GEORGE AUSTIN HASKELL was born on 7 February 1882 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to John William Cleghorne Haskell and Rhoda Ella Mann-Haskell.
Austin first married Henriette Halsted Keith on 14 June 1904 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, and they had ONE daughter of record: Jean Haskell-Shell [or Shull] (1906 - ?).
Austin was next married to a widow, Mary Odessa Johnson-Cox, and there are two records of marriage for the couple. The first was on 29 January 1921 at New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, and the second was on 30 July 1921 in King County, Washington. No children of record by this marriage.
Austin next married Hazel Elaine Holland on 19 December 1925 in Los Angeles County, California. No children of record by this marriage.
Austin was married a fourth time to a Miss Violet Stewart (some records use the spelling Stuart), on 30 May 1931 in Santa Anna, Orange County, California. On 25 September 1942 Violet enlisted with the Women's Army Corps, and earned the rank of Aviation Cadet in the Inactive Reserve. I could not find a record of children by this marriage.
Austin passed away on 28 March 1953 in Los Angeles County, California, and he was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California

HAZEL ELAINE HOLLAND-HASKELL was born on 1 January 1890 in South Dakota to Percival "Percy" Clinton Holland and Jenette Andrews-Holland.
Hazel married George Austin Haskell on 19 December 1925 in Los Angeles County, California. No record of issue by this marriage has been located.
Hazel passed away on 11 April 1956 in Los Angeles County, California, and she was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California.

October 25, 1943Carson, Oct. 25 - Mrs. Sarah Blackwell, a resident of Carson for most of her life and prominent in affairs of the Episcopal church for many years, died Sunday.
Mrs. Blackwell was born in Colusa county, California, November 19, 1869, but had lived here for many years.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Susan Wilds of Pittsburg, Calif.; two sons, Fred of Antioch, Calif., and Herbert, also of California. A brother, Andrew Haskell, residing in California, also survives.

July 1, 1935Middleboro, July 1 - The death of Joseph N. Shaw, 64, of Sachem st. removes a well known contractor. He had been sick but a short time.
He was a native of this town and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha W. Shaw, his wife, Mrs. Mabel Shaw, and three daughters, Mrs. Florence Rockwell of Amherst, N.S. and Mrs. Michael Collins and Mrs. Joseph Lakey of Middleboro.
