August 13, 2008LEE CLARK MULLEN: died 6 Aug 2008 in Snowflake, AZ at age 88. He was born 13 Oct 1919 in Conneaut OH to a family of 9 children. Lee spent 4 1/2 years in the Army starting in 1942. During WWII he was a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne, Company B, 505th Parachute Regiment. Lee was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He returned home on the Queen Mary.
Lee worked as a master builder & a master craftsman instructor at Rio Salado College. He started building homes in San Francisco CA; continued in Galesburg, IL, then in 1959 Scottsdale, AZ & in Heber, AZ starting in 1979. Lee was an active Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America & was a member of the American Legion & Carpenters Union. During retirement in Heber, Lee added aircraft building to his skills & built 3 J3 Piper Cub Airplanes. At age 78 he also earned his student pilot license. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine & is survived by his son Martin, daughter Millicent, 2 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 16, at Messinger Mortuary 7601 E Indian School Road Scottsdale 85251 followed by a reception in the mortuary's Courtyard Room. A tribute will be held in Heber, AZ near his birthday.

Charles Ray Haskell, who is a member ber of Haskell Bros. Company, a large and reliable business organization owning and operating a tire business at Buffalo and Niagara Falls, and a garage, farm implement and accessories store at Youngstown, is one of the enterprising and progressive young business men of Niagara county. Mr. Haskell was born at Youngstown, N. Y., April 29, 1886, and is a son of Dr. Nelson D. and Elvira E. (Davis) Haskell. Dr. Haskell was an early physician and pioneer newspaperman of Youngstown and for many years published a particularly bright, newsy sheet called the Youngstown News. The old printing plant, including as equipment a Washington hand press and an assortment of wood type, found storage shelter for many years in the old mill building, but recently found a purchaser and was removed to Lockport.Charles Ray Haskell enjoyed educational advantages. In 1914 he embarked in business as a member of the Haskell Bros. Company and has found his time well taken up ever since. At Buffalo the business is conducted under the name of the Republic Tire Sales Company, with quarters at No. 749 Main street. At Youngstown the company carries a full line of automobile accessories, have a fine garage with equipment and handle the Dodge, Nash and Case cars and Case tractors. The business is amply financed and carefully managed and prosperity has attended the whole undertaking. The company has built up
a reputation for square dealing and strict business integrity and gives the public courteous as well as expert service in every branch of the business.Mr. Haskell was married Oct. 17, 1917, to Blanche E. Tower, a daughter of Byron E. and Nettie (Robinson) Tower, both natives of Niagara County. Mr. and Mrs. Haskell have two children: Leo Nelson and Mary Jane. The family belongs to the Presbyterian Church and are well known in social circles in several cities. Mrs. Haskell belongs to one of the oldest and most prominent families of Porter and Wilson townships, Niagara county. Politically a Republican, Mr. Haskell gives due attention to party affairs as becomes a good citizen without any political aspirations for himself. He belongs to the Masonic
lodge at Ransomville and the Consistory at Buffalo, and is also a past grand in the order of Odd Fellows.

January 11, 2013Leo Nelson Haskell, 94, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2013 under the loving care of family and staff of Lane Purcell Hospice House.
Mr. Haskell was a Senior System Analyst for the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Florida 18 years ago from Youngstown, New York and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Post Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Youngstown, NY.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years: Iris Haskell of Leesburg, FL; four sons: Lee Haskell of Gaffney, SC, Keith (Molly) Haskell of Orlando, FL, James (Wanda) Labaire of Linden, NJ and John Labaire of Union Beach, NJ; three daughters: Patricia (David) McLamb of Clinton, NC, June (Larry) Wilfrid of Rahway, NJ and Kathleen Reilhmann of Carteret, NJ; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

February 27, 2001Mary B. Haskell, 81, a former bookkeeper, died Sunday (Feb. 25, 2001) in her Lewiston home after a lengthy illness. She was under the care of Niagara Hospice.
Mrs. Haskell, known as "Marie," was a lifelong resident of Lewiston. Born Mary Baldau, she graduated from Stella Niagara School in 1936. She worked as a bookkeeper for 35 years at H.F. Hibbard & Sons, retiring in September because of ill health. Mrs. Haskell was a parishioner of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Leo N. of Lewiston; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
