November 27, 2001ROWLEY Derry W. Rowley, born December 9, 1916, died Novemebr 26, 2001 at the age of 84 after a courageous battle with cancer at Kobacher House.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mary E. and Warren Rowley, brother Seymour Rowley.
A member of Epworth United Methodist Church since 1967. A former member of Kiwanis Int'l and the Transportation Club. He retired from Commercial Motor Freight in 1981 after 44 years of service in various positions in Columbus, Lima and Ft. Wayne, IN.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane; daughters, Dianne Wooddell and Nancy Cunningham and her fiance, Bob Stream; grandchildren, Todd Reigle and Tami (Mike) Skolaris; great-grandson, Mitchell Skolaris; brother Eugene Rowley of Orlando, FL; two nephews and four nieces.

February 5, 2013Mary Jane Rowley, 91, of Columbus passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Kobacker House after a short illness.
Mary was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on March 30, 1921 to Clyde and Edna Jo Emrich.
Preceded in death by brothers William, Robert and Clyde Emrich, Jr.
Mary married her husband of 55 years, the late Derry Rowley, on March 2, 1946 in Ft. Wayne and later moved to Lima, Ohio and finally Columbus in the 1960's.
She was an avid bowler and very active with Epworth United Methodist Church. She worked at GE in Ft. Wayne on the assembly line during World War II and then for 25 years at Bank One and JP Morgan Chase. She was a resident of Wesley Glen Retirement Community where she was involved in many activities including sewing stuffed dogs for children being treated at local hospitals.
Mary is the mother of two daughters, Dianne (Harry) Ratka of Strongsville, Ohio and Nancy (Bob Stream) Cunningham of Cape Coral, Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren, Todd Reigle of Columbus, Tami Skolaris (Mike) of Mooresville, NC, Doug Ratka (Brandy) of Middlefield, Ohio, Jennifer Manthey (Jay) of Garfield Heights, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Lauren Skolaris and Jonathan and Bryce Ratka. Mary also leaves many special friends from Wesley Glen Retirement Community. T

January 2, 1997DENT N. HAND, 96, of Denver died Dec. 28 in Aurora. Services were in Lamont, Okla. Mr. Hand was born in Salt Fork, Okla., on Jan. 2, 1900. He married Marguerite Hand, 1930. He was a corporate accountant for Bay Petroleum Corp. Survivors include his wife; daughter Martha Ahern of Denver; son Dent of Nevada; sisters Gail Ross of Florida, Willa Strome of Oklahoma; four grandchildren.

August 21, 1997ROSS, GAIL HAND, 95, of Clarkesville, Ga., formerly of Clearwater, died Sunday (Aug. 17, 1997) at a son's home in Clarkesville. She was born in Indian Territory, now Oklahoma, and came here in 1970 from Marblehead, Mass. She graduated from Arizona State University and was a teacher in Arizona. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Chapter AV of the PEO Sisterhood, Clearwater.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Auston Ross, Clarkesville, and Richard Glen Ross, St. Regis Falls, N.Y.; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

January 24, 1995ROSS, GEORGE A., 86, of Clearwater, died Sunday (Jan. 22, 1995) at home. He was born in Factoryville, Pa., and came here in 1970 from Topsfield, Mass. He was an electrical engineer for General Electric Riverworks, Lynn, Mass. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Clearwater, and the General Electric Elfun Society. After earning his master's degree from California Institute of Technology in 1930, he served on the faculty of Arizona State University until 1934.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Gail H.; and two sons, Gilbert A., Clarkesville, Ga., and Richard G., St. Regis Falls, N.Y.
