September 24, 1944Thomas H. Mills, 69, of Cocoa, died in a local hospital early last night following an illness of about two months. He had been connected with the State Road Department for the past seven years. Prior to that time he had spent practically all his life in the turpentine business and was well known throughout this section of the State.
A native of Wilmington, NC he came to Florida many years ago and made his home for a number of years at Greensboro.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a Mason.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Irma Strickland, Mrs. H.R. Dillard, of Jacksonville and Mrs. J.W. Hamilton, Tallahassee; one son, Felton G. Mills, US Marine Corps in England, and four grandchildren, Haywood Roberts, US Army, Alice Ann and Johnny Mills, Jacksonville, and Morris Dekle, Tallahassee.

November 11, 1950Mrs. Irma Florine Johnson, 43, wife of M. Luther Johnson, of 2761 Myra Street, died suddenly yesterday morning in a local hospital. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.
A native of Georgia, she had lived in Florida the greatest part of her life. Before moving to Jacksonville in 1943 she lived at Tallahassee for a number of years.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Riverside Park Church of Christ, and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Hayward Roberts of Tallahassee; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Lee Hamilton, Tallahassee, FL, and Miss Jeannette Mills of Jacksonville, and a brother, F.G. (Felton Graves) Mills, of Chattahoochee, FL.

Funeral services for Mr. Oscar L. Roberts, 75, of 205 20th St., Port St. Joe, who died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday at Municipal Hospital after a short illness will be held at 3 p.m. (EST) today at Comforter Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Joe. The Rev. R.M. Spikes will officiate.Internment will be in the family plot in Jehu Cemetery, Wewahitchka, with graveside Masonic rites.
Mr. Roberts had been a resident of Port St. Joe since 1917 and was a member of the Baptist church. He was a Mason and a veteran of World War I. Mr. Roberts was a retired conductor of the Apalachicola Northern Railroad Company. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Euphania Roberts of Port St. Joe; one son, Haywood Roberts of Atlanta, Ga, one stepdaughter, Miss Dorothy Trawick of Port St. Joe; three stepsons, William Trawick of Charlotte, N.C., Harry Trawick of Thomasville, Ga., Robert Trawick of Port St. Joe; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Addie Brunswick [sic Bundrick] of Revere, Mass., Mrs. E.I. Dauphin and Mrs. Ellie Cumbie of Trenton, Fla and Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson of Guthrie, Okla.

Danny" C. Spanos, 88, of Stockton, CA, passed away on August 31, 2011. He was born in Stockton, California on October 29, 1922 to Gus and Evanthia Spanos.
He attended Stockton High School and California Polytechnic Institute, where he studied Aeronautical Engineering.
Danny enlisted twice and served two full terms; first in the US Navy from June 1943 until March 1946 and then in the US Army from July 1950 until July 1953. In recognition of his faithful service he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
He and his wife, Alice Mills, met during his tour of service in Korea and married on April 18, 1952.
Preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Alice, he is survived by his brothers Alex (Faye), George (Mary), and Leo and his sisters Stella Graham and Madeline Madsen, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Danny lived all of his adult life in San Jose and worked for many years as an aeronautical engineer for the Lockheed Corporation. He had a huge fascination with space and enjoyed immensely his job at Lockheed. Throughout his life, he loved animals and was devoted to his pets.
