Katherine P. Prodouz

Mission Park Funeral Chapel, Cemeteries and Crematorium

Katherine Haskell passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of December 3, 2018. She was born to Andrew and Jennie Prodouz on June 11, 1918 in Chelsea, MA, and grew up in Avon, MA.

She married Stephen F Haskell of Brockton, MA on August 2, 1942. His career in the Army moved them to Japan, Germany, and many places in the US. In July 1963, they moved to San Antonio TX, where they retired.

Kay was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, and was especially proud of her team in the 2018 season. When she was young, she got home from school before her brothers and would listen to the games on the radio. When her brothers got home, she would give them a play by play recap of that day's game. While living in Texas, she opened a corner of her baseball heart and allowed the Texas Rangers in as her second team. She would cheer for the Rangers except for when they played the Red Sox.

She lived alone from October 1990 until July 2018, when, at the age of 100, she decided she shouldn't live alone and moved in with her daughter- in-law Peggy Haskell, where she lived happily until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her 7 siblings, her husband Stephen F Haskell, and her son Stephen F Haskell Jr.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Jinny Garberson, her daughter-in-law Peggy Haskell, her granddaughter Kimberly Haskell, and great granddaughter Skylar Haskell, 2 sister-in-laws Eleanor Prodouz , Dolly Prodouz and many nieces and nephews.
