Rockland newspaperFrederick C. Lewis, of East Water street, a well known resident of this town passed away this morning at the Massachusetts General hospital, Boston. He was sixty-one years old, and was a contracting carpenter, learning his trade from the late Nathan Turner.
He was a native of Rockland ans was born in the house on East Water street in which he lived, a son of the late George and Hannah P. Lewis.
He was a member of the Union Glee Club and was held in highest esteem by a host of friends. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Nathan B. Simmons and Mrs. J. S. McCalluum, both of Rockland.
