Justice David Arthur Nichols retired Justice of the Maine Supreme Court died at Penobscot Bay Hospital on 21 June 1997. He was the son of George E. and Flora E. (Pillsbury) Nichols and grandson of Edgar T. and Roseanna Catherine (Haskell) Pillsbury.
Justice Nichols was born 6 August 1917 in Lincolnville, ME. He graduated from Camden, ME High School in 1933, Bates College in 1942 and received his law degree from The University of Michigan in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942-1945. He was in general law practice in Camden, ME from 1949-1975, Justice of the Superior Court of Maine 1975-1977 and Justice of the Judicial Court of Maine 1977-1988. Justice Nichols was president of the Maine Trial Lawyers' Assoc. 1966-68, on the Board of Directors of the American Judicature Society 1960-64; a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation Judicial Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Law Institute. Nichols was a Life member and former trustee of the NEHGS and a member of the Board of Directors of the Maine Genealogical Society 1980-84. He was, also a member of the Maine Historical Society, the Maine Old Cemetery Assoc., the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists, the Essex County, MA Society of Genealogists and Charter member # 1 of the Haskell Family Assoc. and Life member# 15.

February 11, 2015RAYMOND -- Bessie J. Pillsbury, 88, of Raymond, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester.She was born on Sept. 1, 1926, in Chelsea, Mass., a daughter of the late Lorius and Milisea (Palmer) Nickerson.
She is survived by her three children, Lawrence W. Pillsbury of Dayton, Tenn., Glen T. Pillsbury of Raymond, and Kathleen A. Pillsbury of Epping; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marion Morani of Boston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence T. Pillsbury, in 1992; three brothers, Clarence Nickerson, Chester Nickerson and Fredrick Nickerson; and by one sister, Helen Harnish..

OWLS HEAD � Madeline G. Economy, 87, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland, after an extended period of declining health. Born in Rockland, January 2, 1924, to Chester W. and Golden A. Haskell Munro, she was the twin of Chester Munro, Jr. Educated in local schools, she was a 1942 graduate of Rockland High School.
Other than her parents, Madeline was pre-deceased by her husband James Economy in 1998; two brothers, Chester W., Jr. and Albert C. Munro; and a sister Dorothy Childes.
She is survived by two sons, David C. Jordan and his wife Sandra of Thomaston, Daryl E. Jordan of Owls Head; one sister Esther Novika and her husband Neil of Rockland; two grandchildren Nicholas Jordan and his fiancé Calah Whitney of Cushing, Denise Jordan Johnson and her husband Jessie of Rockport; one great-grandson, Owen Marshall Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews including one who lived with Madeline as a child, Dorothy 'Dotty' Grant of Rockland.

William R. Haskell Sr. (Bob) of Rowayton, CT died on Sunday, June 16, 2019. Born on June 20, 1934 in Medford, MA, Bob was the son of Marion Warner and Loren Ellis Haskell. He graduated from New Rochelle High School, the University of Bridgeport and the Officer Candidate School at the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Captain, raconteur, entrepreneur, and builder, Bob was from generations of ship captains. He loved the sea.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, and their 3 children - Lauren Pulie and her husband Jim; William R. Haskell, Jr. (Robert) and his wife Elizabeth; and Susan Haskell and her husband Debo Adegbile. He has seven grandchildren, Jimmy, Sam, Olivia, Will, Sela, Devan and Luke.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Reinhart, and his niece and nephew, Laurie Ambrite and Jim Reinhart.

October 19, 2014ST. CLOUD, Fla. William A. "Bill" Haskell, 86, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
Bill was the son of the late Frances (Allen) Haskell and Alton Haskell. Along with his parents,
Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Dolores (Spath) Haskell.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Betty Padgett of St. Cloud; sons, Mark (Katrina) Haskell of Rotterdam, and Alan (Bonnie) Haskell of Malta; sister Jane Schroeder of Allyn, Wash.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two nieces.
Bill graduated from Watervliet High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves to serve his country during World War II. Following the war, Bill transferred to active duty and continued to serve until his discharge in 1948. Following discharge, he attended Albany Business College, graduating in 1951. Bill married Dolores in 1953 and moved to Loudonville to raise his family. He was employed by the Lorillard Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
Bill was an avid sportsman and gifted athlete, especially baseball and tennis. He earned several gold medals playing tennis in the Senior Olympics. Bill coached his sons' baseball teams for many years and always enjoyed coaching and helping young athletes. He was a life member of VFW Post 729 and past state VFW commander. He was also a member of the American Legion, Shriners and the Elks. Bill enjoyed traveling, especially cruising in the Caribbean with Betty.

November 18, 1993Dolores Spath Haskell of Chateau Court, Loudonville, died Wednesday in Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness.
She was born and educated in Rensselaer and lived in Albany for many years.
Mrs. Haskell was an accountant with the J. Edward Poole Insurance Co., retiring in 1987. Before that, she was an accountant with American Surety in Albany for 20 years.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 43 years and held several offices, including president. She was called "Miss Beta Sigma Phi" by its members for her involvement in the service organization.Mrs. Haskell was a communicant of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Albany.
Survivors include her husband, William A. Haskell; two sons, Mark W. Haskell of Queensbury and Alan D. Haskell of Colonie; and three grandchildren.

August 10, 2010June Adams passed away at home on August 7, 2009. She was born on May 6, 1923 in Roxbury, Massachusetts to Viola and Charles Haskell.
She married Charles E. Adams in June of 1941. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She is survived by a brother, Charles F Haskell of Sacramento, CA; a daughter Carol (Kieth) Hansen of Mesquite, NV, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Everyone was blessed with her beautiful presence, and in death she is reunited with the loving family that passed before.
