HUBERT HASKELL PEAVEY: A Representative from Wisconsin; born in Adams, Mower county, Minn., on January 12, 1881; moved with his parents to Redwood Falls, Minn., in 1886; attended the public schools, the high school at Redwood Falls, and Pillsbury Academy, Owatonna, Minn.; pursued various activities in Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma from 1900 until 1904, when he moved to South Dakota and engaged in the real estate business; moved to Washburn, Bayfield county, Wis., in 1909 and continued the real estate business; served as alderman in 1911 and as mayor of Washburn in 1912 and 1920-1922; member of the State assembly 1913-1915; became editor and publisher of the Washburn News in 1915; during the First World War recruited Company D, Sixth Infantry, Wisconsin National Guard, and served as captain; resumed his former newspaper activities in Washburn, Wis.; unsuccessful candidate for the Republican nomination in 1920 to the Sixty-seventh Congress; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-eighth and to the five succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1923-January 3, 1935); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1934 to the Seventy-fourth Congress; again engaged in the real estate business and also operated a fur ranch; died in Washburn, Wis., November 21, 1937; interment in Woodland Cemetery.

March 22, 1952CHICAGO, March 21 (AP) - Clinton H. Haskell, president of the Beatrice Foods Company, died today in St. Francis Hospital in suburban Evanston at the age of 63.
Mr. Haskell, who had been with the dairy products firm for forty-six years, had been president since 1928. Under his leadership, the company became the third largest in the dairy industry.
He was a past president and director of the American Butter Institute and a director of the National Dairy Council.
Survivors include his widow, Ethel; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine East and Mrs. Virginia Ball; two brothers and three sisters.

Great-grandma of Molly, Catherine, Anthony and Sarah. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her sister Virginia Ball of Fort Meyers, FL.
Visitation Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church, 2366 N. 80th Street, Wauwatosa from 10 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church appreciated. Lorraine was a longtime member of the PEO Sisterhood, and a volunteer with Mayfair Interfaith.
