He is survived by one son, Oren of Medford and six daughters: Madelene Oechsle of Flourtown, Pa., Celia Klingler of Southampton, Edith Barr of Bear Creek, Pa., Mary Bass of Southampton, Esther Birchall of Hainesport, Linda Gorwood of Medford, and two "adopted daughters", Lois Berger of N.C. and Elizabeth Waters of Hainesport. Grandfather of 22, great grandfather of 35, and uncle of 4.

May 31, 1995Irma Beatrice (Ford) Reed, 93, of Bryantville, Mass., died Monday May 29, 1995, at the Bay Path Nursing Home, Duxbury, Mass., after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Reed was employed by the Cape Cod Cranberry Co. of Hanson, Mass., before becoming a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Co. at the Bryantville exchange.
She attended schol in Hanson, Mass.
Mrs. Reed was born in Pembroke, Mass., on Feb. 15, 1902, daughter of the late Ernest and Beulah (Gardner) Ford. She lived in Pembroke most of her life.
She was the widow of Merle E. Reed.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Everett G. and Harriet J. Reed; two daughters and son-in-laws, Sally and Fred Curtis of Hudson, and Carole and Charles Smith of Huber Height, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Edmund and Marie Ford Haskell of North Scituate, Mass.; a close friend of 90 years, Syrenna Haskell of New Bedford, Mass., seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchil- dren and several nieces and nephews.

June 16, 1969Word of the death Sunday, of Howard A. Peebles, former Walla Walla College faculty member and local resident, has come from Dr. and Mrs. Robert Silver, Harper, Wash., son in law and daughter of the deceased.
Born Sept. 2, 1879 in South Lunenberg, Vt., the late Professor Peebles grew up and completed high School in Battle Creek, Mich., graduated from Union College, Lincoln, Neb., and took his master's degree at the University of Washington. A musician and printer, as well as linguist, he operated printing plants in Honduras and in Mexico City, further perfecting his use of the Spanish language during his four years in Mexico. Language teaching began at Southwestern Union College, Keene, Tex. There he married. They moved to College Place in 1922 and Professor Peebles was on the WWC faculty for 16 years, heading the department of modern languages for 11 of those years.
After his retirement they continued to make their home in College Place. Mrs. Peebles died in 1955. He remained in the family home until 1966 when with his daughter and her husband they moved to Harper.

Nellie C. Haskell was co-owner, with her husband, of the Grand River Mink Farm. She retired in 1955.
Mrs. Haskell, 98, died Monday at home. She was born in Grand River and lived there all her life. She was a member of the Grand River United Church of Christ.
Her husband, Seymour, is deceased. Survivors include her granddaughters, Janet Simms of Taylor, Mich., and Sally Zuchlewski of Southfield, Mich.
